In car video 50~118mph (2nd and 3rd gear) + 0~60mph run

Made a few short in car video clips, runs were done entirely on off ramp with a slight curve, very limited distance, I used up a bit of distance setting up the camera.

2nd and 3rd gear acceleration

2nd gear acceleration from low rpm

Here is video of a 0~60mph run, soft launch, depending on your stop watch, 4.1sec~4.43sec. I took my time getting ready and stay relaxed.
0~60mph

For comparison, this is a 50~115mph/2nd~3rd accerlation video of bone stock C6 Z06 posted own by another Supra owner. Video

Similar acceleration video of 03 Cobra with 515rwhp running 10+psi- video

Upon viewing both your videos, and the C6 ZO6 Acceleration video, I'd say on the mid-to-top end both your vehicles RPM's rise steadfast. It almost looks like it would be a close highway roll. The sound of the supercharger is always pleasant as well.

When the Z06s speedometer, and tachometer reach a certain point in 2nd gear, they both travel in sync with each other, kind of amusing to watch how those needles travel.

Now we need a similar video made of a stock NA1 and a stock NA2 for comparison.
I wish I had made one pre-CTSC.

Here is a video of NA2 6spd, not sure what mod he got, it did 10.6sec 0~100mph. Stock NA2 usually does 11.5~11.7sec. Its already fast.

Run start at 3 minute 54sec into this video

Look at his rpm at 90~100mph, gearing is perfect for 0~100mph, 50~100mph 6.89sec~7.03sec.

50~100mph on NA2 is 7.5~7.8sec, NA1 8.1~8.9sec (this is with really fast magazine times for NA1).

I thought something was wrong with my NSX until I paid attention to the whining :D

When i was counting from 60 - 120 in all 3 vid (nsx, c6z06, svt cobra) i found that the NSX and C6 Z06 both did it in just under 8 secs and the cobra did it in 10 secs. Looks like you might be able to take the z06 on the freeway.

Bad a$$

Sound was intoxicating! Oh, so was watching the needle move...

Jason am I nuts or did you hit at least 8500 RPM without the rev limiter kicking in? it sounds sweeeeeet.

Dave,
I hit the 8300rpm fuel cut due slow reaction, not on purpose. I wasn't able to see that portion of tach as the camera was on the way, and I was trying to pay attention to the road at the same time:smile: .

When it hit rev limiter, it will bounce a bit, giving an illusion of 8500rpm. It would be really interesting if the car can run up to 8500rpm safely without having to worrying about the oil pump gear, but with boost and high compression that might not be a good idea.

thanks for sharing the vids. I love that whine!

Ahh, that's how the CTSC sounds in the cabin. :)

asylum: where did you hit 185 kmh?
