I hear the exhaust leak as you are taking off. Try having someone stand next to the rear of the car and listen when you take off.

I emailed Chris at SOS and asked him for his very respected opinion on this, and this was his reply:

Whew! I was worried for a minute, because no one has ever mentioned anything about the exhaust!

The exhaust leak occurs at 0:17 to 0:21 on takeoff. Unless you know what an exhaust leak sounds like, then you would not be able to detect it.

Have someone drive your car. Stand behind it and listen to when they take off.
