Important Marketplace forum change

if i don't agree with something or think it's wrong, i'll state my opinion... wether it's free or not... or if it's free, we all have to shut up???... the first step for evolution is to know other's people ideas...am i wrong????

i don't need a refund or even want one... this particularly subject won't keep me to paypal a well earned money to Prime...i will... but that's only because this forum, it's users are of a tremendous value to me....

and if the marketplace function so well, why almost all the threads in this forum are about retained posts????

it don't work well. Period.

so instead of knocking on the complainer's head, let's find a solution...

If the mod doesn't have time to handle all the adds daily or isn't logged on every day....he needs an apprentice!

Let me be the first to volunteer.

if i have guidelines so i won't screw things up, i volunteer myself... when i do things, i like to have them done right:wink:

I posted an NSX wanted ad and was fortunate enough to receive a response that lead to the purchase of a great car. I can no longer reply to any of the market place ads and I was wondering how I can change this. All the best.

Effective immediately the Marketplace forums for classified ads (NSXs For Sale, NSX Parts For Sale, NSXs Wanted, NSX Parts Wanted) are "listing only." Nobody but the original poster can reply to an ad. The rule about not "bumping" ads more frequently than every 30 days is still in effect - if it has been less than 30 days, edit your previous post!

SELLERS: Make sure you provide sufficiently detailed information in your ad so you are not overwhelmed with 50 people asking you the same thing. Also make sure to provide good contact information (preferably more than one method).

BUYERS: Contact sellers directly with questions or to make a deal.

For now ads must still be approved by a moderator before they will be listed. The next step will be to either switch to a dedicated classified ad system or to use custom forms to post ads. At that point it is my hope to change the system so ads post immediatly. We will see.

Id be more than willing to help moderate the marketplace!

Man what a terrible decision. Was trying to respond to an ad about an odd discrepancy which would probably be useful information for anyone else interested in the car.

If you believe a car is being misrepresented (through statement or omission) in an ad, use the Report Post function and the moderators will look into it.
