Imola Orange Pearl/Orange Cars

Guys I hear you on the pricing of this particular 2002 Imola but in 2008 I paid $65k for my 9,000 mile Imola Orange/Onyx interior car (even rarer than the orange interiors).

Considering there are only 41 Imola Orange Pearl/Orange and its low mileage I think $65k is reasonable. $60k would be stealing it especially with the TB/WP just done and I doubt the dealer will do it.

If I were the primer working this deal I'd nab it between $63 and $65k. Note I've had two people PM me for my thoughts on this car so there are more than one person attempting a deal at this dealership.

The race is now on! LOL.

I tell ya Imola's are RARE! VERY VERY RARE!

Yeah, it's really hard to say what the car is truly worth. Seems like most Imola owners are willing to stay firm on their price within a few thousand or so. Personally, I would think the car is worth around 60k. But this is based on nothing. haha! But then again, what's 3-5k more if you're paying this much already? This should not be a deal breaker is someone really wants this car.

I'm probably one of the best guys to ask as I constantly watch these cars. I even know how much some Prime members paid for theirs so it helps with the analysis.

Either way Imola's are rarer than almost all other colors offered in the NSX and because of that limited supply should command the most $$$ of any 2002-2005 car period. I know that every single 2002-2005 IOP/Onyx car has not sold for less than $65k in the past 5 years! Mine was the lowest priced one.

People often think White is the rarest but its not. Its just in demand at the moment so harder to find in a way as people aren't willing to part with them all that often.

Update!

2002 Imola #234 (Northern VA/Wash DC)

anyone know who owns this beauty today?

I am guessing its an 02 Orange/orange

Actually the one that sticks out in my head is Synths car. Motorweek is filmed in Ownings Mills MD and is not far from the dealer that sold his car.

Just wondering

2002 Imola / Orange car# 173 was registered new in VA, the second closest would be Indiana and the reset of them were on the west coast.

I doubt the car was mine. The original owner was from Florida. It only went to Maryland/DC area around 2007-2008 IIRC. Also, I purchased from an individual not a dealer. Video was from 2002?

correct, i cant seem to locate the full video... anyone else?

i like your detective work... :) does it say how many miles when it was registered?

The car had 327 miles when it was first registered, that's more than average - most of NSXs had around 50. Don't get too excited, you don't want the car anyways since it was totalled in 2006 :(.

I'm not sure about his taste in styling about the interior.

Also I didn't realize there was much of a difference in handling with traction control on and off? I have tried spirited drives with both settings in my 95 and now 92. I must say that I didn't feel a night and day difference. Is this something that was changed for the 02+ or 97+?

I noticed a huge difference in my 2004. Try it on the track or an autocross event, you'll feel it.

I hope they get all 65k out of it :)

only things that jump out are..

front valance/air dam look like its either missing some fasteners or was damaged by a parking space stop, Antenna Bent, and that orange OVERLAY which can hopefully be removed without damaging the correct factory pieces under it. (oh and the tires look a lil low in the pics IMO)

Interesting. I've never seen that car in town before. Maybe Scottsdale Ferrari purchased it from an auction. I wonder why someone would put wood overlay in an imola though?

doubt its oem acura. wayyyyyy too tacky+ugly. my guess was its likely used to cover up a scratch on the oem centre console.

You have to wonder if the overlay is the wood overlay that was an Acura option?

Either way eeewwww.
