iLIFT - Intelligent Suspension Lift Systems - New Product Introduction

what is your California schedule like? Depending on timing and where you are, I have a friend or two that might want to meet you and check out the car in person.

I will be in Vegas through Friday the 8th and will drive to Southern California on Saturday the 9th.
Let me know if anyone in Southern CA (or anyone along the route) would like to see and try out the iLIFT System.

I will be conducting iLIFT System demos in LOS ANGELES on Sunday November 10th at 5PM. Exact location to be determined soon.

I will demonstrating the iLIFT System in VISTA (near San Diego) on Monday at Applied Motorsports between 1PM and 8PM.

Anyone who is interested in seeing and ""test driving" the iLIFT System in person is welcome to reply to this thread to let me know the best time for you to attend.
We might even have pizza for everyone who attends if they let us know that they'll be there.

iLIFT Review: After a successful open house at Speedware Motorsports, I was able to showcase the iLift and write up a review. Enjoy the pics and video.

My NSX is very low to the ground. The front lip was always getting scratched or paint would chip off. I found that I needed a solution to help me drive over speed bumps also into and out of driveways. I researched over 5 different products out there, from air bags, aftermarket lift kits, and VRH coil over systems. Most of the air bag systems did not meet the fitment expectations I was looking for in a system. Different lift kits are well known to produce quality performance however there is a track record for continued / consistent quality issues that create questions around equipment longevity which has shown to be a major concern with a number of NSX owners.

Additionally, documented on NSX Prime there are a number of current market lift kit systems that are familiar to the NSX community but have the inefficiencies and problematic issues of not lasting or requiring repeated maintenance. Lastly was the price of a lift kit system compared to my expectations of a kit that would last repeated use and have little to zero part replacement needs or breakdown issues.

Due to price in relation to the features, I reviewed two other kits (Umbrella and Accu Air) in addition to the iLIFT. My impression is that the cost for the iLIFT is similar to Umbrella and Accu Air products. However, the iLIFT provides additional features that are specifically designed only for the NSX. For example, a one of a kind fender mount that houses the compressor and tank components saving space in your NSX.

Fundamentally, I wanted to purchase a product that would meet my expectations of lifting and lowering the NSX with components that would last as long as I owned the car. So I invested in purchasing the iLIFT. All of my expectations have been met and I could not be happier with the product performance, fitment, quality equipment components, equipment guarantee by Steven standing behind his product, and supreme excellence in customer service.

There are many advantages that the iLIFT has over its competitors. List below.

Highly intelligent easy to operate and adjustable ECU controlled system
Highly configurable to meet the ideal requirements if any car and the driver’s preference.

Longevity of this system is key and you will appreciate not only having a quality product but also working directly with the inventor and manager of the product. Steven is open to any feedback to help improve the iLIFT making it a living product that will only continue to get better.

I am extremely satisfied with the iLift and what it has to offer over the current competitors. It is in a tier of its own and will out last and out perform the competition. Whether you purchase anyone of the 2 tier iLIFT options you will be happy that you have a reliable, dependable, and high quality product that will last. Hands down for the cost and features, you will get a superior custom made product specifically for your NSX.

Jeff, thanks for sharing your review of the iLIFT(R) Systems. It's gratifying to hear your comments and appreciation of the many unique features we developed for the iLIFT Systems. Most people are not as through as you when it comes to evaluating and understanding a new product. Thanks for taking the time to understand and share your
knowledge of our product.

I'd like to clarify one point about OEM suspension fitment.
I did design and make prototype components to facilitate using the iLIFT System on the NSX OEM suspension but decided to focus our development efforts on coilover applications instead.
OEM suspensions typically provide adequate ground clearance and we do not anticipate offering an iLIFT application for OEM suspensions.

iLIFT Systems are designed to fit aftermarket coilover suspensions that are commonly used to lower the ride height of cars. It's these lowered cars that really need a solution to eliminate scraping.
With the iLIFT System installed, cars can be set with even lower ground clearance for better performance while still being able to be driven over virtually any speed bump or steep drive way.

Thanks ChrisK. The video presents a good idea of what to expect up front from the iLIFT regarding performance. As for the components, they are not in the video. But behind the scenes they are well made and are stealthy to be hidden from plain view. (One of the great features in my mind)

I agree. I have an iLift installed on my NSX myself. So much of the design you can't see but it all adds to the superiority of the system. Enjoy, the iLift has saved my lip a few times already.
 
Hey steve I thought of a funky theme song for your system...the old disco song with the lyric "last night a dj saved my life".....could be " the ilift saved my lip" :biggrin:
 
I agree. I have an iLift installed on my NSX myself. So much of the design you can't see but it all adds to the superiority of the system. Enjoy, the iLift has saved my lip a few times already.

My iLIFT System saved my lip numerous times on the trip to NSXPO. I can't say enough about the quality of this system and the fact that it takes up no space in my trunk, plus it is completely hidden

I arrived in Los Angeles at noon and will be doing a demo for some NSX owners at 5pm.
Tomorrow I will drive to Vista to provide demos of the iLIFT System at Applied Motorsports.

It was great meeting Steven and seeing the iLift system in person yesterday. We spoke at length about it and I have to say that I am thoroughly impressed by Steven's fanaticism for creating a product with function, reliability, installation and user experience all holding equal importance in his development philosophy. Anyone who has seen Steven's NSX can appreciate his goal in making changes and improvements that seem almost unnoticeable. This is how it is with his iLift system. In my conversation with him, it became quickly apparent that his goal was to create a product that would function seamlessly with the car and driver. An example is the integration of the iLift controls with the factory cruise control switches without having to sacrifice the cruise control function. Another is the ability to switch modes from fully automated, to manual, to completely shut off (what Steven likes to call the Race Mode) using the same switches.

The "cups" of Steven's system aren't made of the conventionally used aluminum, but are made of a composite material that lends itself to a design that provides for reliability. Into this design, he has included multiple levels of protection from grime and the elements to ensure longevity. It achieves 3 inches of lift while imposing only half and inch of height above the spring.

Equally impressive, if not even more so, is the filtration device that he developed to remove moisture from the system. Anyone familiar with pneumatic suspension systems would know the importance of removing moisture from the compressed air. Up until now, systems like these use water traps to remove moisture from the air before it enters the tank. However, these water traps are not able to remove all moisture from the system because as air cools and condenses in the tank, moisture is formed again, and water begins to build up and is pushed into the valves and pistons which forces degradation. Steven's filtration device, which he spent a year developing, virtually eliminates this problem; again for the purpose of longevity.

The iLift also has many (many) programmable functions and parameters that allow the user to personalize it to his or her own preferences; from system pressure adjustments to front/rear weight biases; from sensor sensitivity to system on/off thresholds. The amount of thought, not to mention time, that went into each use and function of the setup is difficult to fathom for what we normally perceive to be something that simply lifts a car up and drops it back down. However, Steven's thought process in creating the iLift system is clear when you realize that it was much of his goal to allow for a better driver's experience when you get in your car to cruise down the boulevard or hammer it down the track; that you can confidently drive it like it was riding at stock height even if you had it slammed and tucked.

There are many details in the iLift that address problems that other existing systems have that when taken in their totality, make a noticeable difference in a system's ownership as well as overall user experience.

I have on my NSX a system that is sold by another vendor, and when comparing the two, the difference in the level of execution is glaring. If I were to do it all over again, considering the value of each dollar spent, choosing Steven's iLift system would be the easy choice.

In my conversation with him last night, Steven said a few times that he wanted to have a system that had elegance. I think that he's achieved it in both form and function.

Really a great product, Steven! Who knows? I might just do it all over again. ;)
 
Well said. Definitely echo everything you've said. I totally appreciate all the meticulous work and attention Steven gives any of his projects. The iLift system is just one of them. Everything on his car is pretty awesome and typically a One-Off.

Steve is an amazing guy.......the more you know about car stuff like you do ryu the more amazing Steve's mods become.To the casual observer its just cool stuff....but to the really knowledgeable, his parts and execution really shine.
