I use CarChip to log ignition timing on my 99 NA2 via the OBD-II connector. It shows something that might be abnormal.
At constant 3300 rpm highway cruising in 6th gear, advance is steady at 48 degrees. Is that far too high?
On my 2001 Prelude logged with same system, advance is 33 degrees at 4300 rpm.
The NSX's advance drops down to about 12 degrees at idle, and the spec is 15 degree +/- 2, so the logged values do seem to reflect reality.
What timing advance is everyone seeing on their NSX ?
