On the rare occasion that my wife coaxed me into going to the mall....early voting started in Nevada today. Long line, but efficient management by the election official. Proud to be an American:biggrin:

Regards,

Danny

Me too. I voted 10 days ago. The line was very long here in St. Louis but NOTHING compared to what it will be 11/4. The people working the polls were very nice and said the lines have been VERY long every single day since early voting started.

On a side note - I wish people were as passionate about NSX ownership on this site as they are about politics and trying to convince people their view is right on a car BBS.

Why would you publish intimate personal details, political views, and some of the other things that everyone can see? Don't people ever think about the future customers, employers, partners, and others that can find this information?

I LOVE the fact that I don't have a myspace/facebook page and no one knows who I vote for and my personal preferences. Seems like people who don't bare their souls and deepest secrets online are few and far between.

I respect other people's opinions; I don't judge by them. If someone else is not willing to do the same for me, I probably don't want to do business with them anyways. Some environments are not appropriate for political discussions and some are. Maybe if I was a hardcore dem or repub I could be more concerned.

This forum is an excellent vehicle to discuss and learn more about politics and yourself. Jim, Paul, Steve, Doug, John et al. provide many challenging points of views against which I can hone my own views/beliefs and reflect on my own biases.

Best Regards to All

This a site is made for both NSX information and a social arena for NSX owners...If you want to keep hidden your ideas about life, love and politics than that's your right..but some people perfer to be social.

As for being concerned about future relationships because of views expressed?

To be honest if someone is petty enough to not want to do business with me because we have differing views?...I don't want to be involved with them anyway.

I've never posted anything that I wouldn't openly reveal to any of those people. If they choose to judge me based on what I've posted, that's on them, not me.

We may not agree on politics but I tip my cap to you for exercising your right to vote. Good on you.

Ditto. After all the politics, let's all go back to being brothers again.

What kind of seats are those? Sparcos?

Can't wait till November 4th.. I'll finally be piecing my NSX back together and start driving it again as I haven't done so since the primaries.
As for politics, I really hope everyone forgets about my posts after it's over, especially if that One wins :)

Actually I'm a registered Republican. Never voted for Clinton and I voted for W in 2000. That would make me a RINO these days...and I have the horn to prove it:wink:

OK - guess I need to say it another way...

Why "brand" yourself?

Why be "a label"?

Have you EVER seen a political sign in a neighbor's yard and thought +/- about them if they didn't have "your pick" on the lawn?

Do you vote for the "best qualified person" or are those you don't pick and those that support them right or wrong?

There are people posting 10 to 1 about their political views then about NSX ownership. Have you ever changed some-one's mind on the Internet? Then why post 50 times a day on an NSX forum!

You can say whatever you want but the 2 parties in this country have fostered division whenever they can but nothing can be further from the truth.

I have seen how gov't works from the inside. 99.9999999% of all government work is NOT POLITICAL. It is BORING. It is working on things that don't make CNN, national news, or anything else. It is the business of government that has nothing to do with politics. They feed you and work you up on the .0000000001% to market their "brand".

They get you "worked up" and feed you information about the "other party".

I'm sorry but it devisive, people are all too willing to pretend they know "their party", they label themselves, and are taught to "hate the other party".

I think it is pathetic - but hey - if it floats your boat to put a scarlet letter on your own forehead and pretend people won't know, don't care, and it won't affect you - so be it.

There is a reason the founding fathers made voting private. If you choose to bare your every thought and secret on the Internet then so be it. I honestly don't care. I just can't wait till it is over and 49% of the country will be depressed and 51% of the country will be jubilant - till 100% figures out that the business of government is really only .00001% political and all the problems we had before the election will be the same - or bigger.

I am more than willing to share that i didn't vote for either of the two most popular candidates

But I did vote! :)
