Yeah, sounds like a design flaw. Might be worth dropping them an e-mail about that.

You sure you got the right part numbers (maybe mis-boxed)? Are they the same size/shape/etc. as the pads you took off? Stranger things have happened.
I always do a "stare and compare" when I replace parts (I've had too many parts people give me the wrong thing). They fit perfectly other than the backing plates (front and rear plates were both not right). The OEM shims/plates fit over the pads perfectly as well. The pads have the part numbers actually printed on them but that's not to say I positively couldn't have gotten the wrong ones because s*** happens. If I'm the only one that's had this issue --- well then, it's probably, ME :redface:.
