I got to drive Gerry Johnson's Turbo NSX

I was in California this week and went to Modesto to drive Gerry's turbo NSX. All I can say is Holly SH*T. That was the fastest car I have ever driven. It goes through the gears soooo fast, you really have to watch the tach not to over rev it. When you stomp the gas it has immediate response. I did not feel any lag at all. I hope mine turns out like his when he finishes mine. If anyone wants to have a super fast NSX, then I would call Gerry and see when he can do my car. His shop was very clean and professional.
When you first look at the car you can't wait to get in it. The bottom of the car was so clean you could eat off of it. It is the most beautiful NSX I have ever seen. Not overdone, had very classy ground effects and nice wheels. I have to thank him for the chance of driving his car. Not everyone would let someone drive their car, especially one with that much power. It really made the trip to California worth it.

Lucky rascal !! I have read about and dreamed about that car. Maybe someday when I get back out to California I will stop by his shop and check it out in person.

Did Gerry give you an update on his lower boost single turbo?

I was in touch with Gerry last year when he was coming to the Bay Area to work on his car. He said he'd let me drive it, kinda like we would all trust each other with our cars, but we nevver hooked up and I lost my chance.

His single turbo kit is available now. You can adjust the boost with a boost controller, so you can have a low boost or high boost with the same kit. Just depends if you want to do the internals.

Do you have any more information than that? I really miss positive manifold pressure and I really like the design of his setup so I would like to know what's included and what I'll need to handle myself. Is it a complete turbo/fuel/timing solution or should I run out and buy an AEM and some 550cc injectors?

Here is the phone number. 209-491-2700 Just ask for Gerry Johnson. That is his shop. I would get the particulars from him on what is included and what is not. He is doing the internals on my enigne. If you are just looking for a low boost application you don't have to do that.

Whats up Gerry.. is it possible you could post some information relative to your turbo kit here? We have about 4 NSXs in south Louisiana that are all interested in it, but we're not sure about pricing. Thanks in advance
