I dont have a Keyless FOB, some advice on aftermarket keyless needed.

I dont have any FOBs for my 1995 NSX. How can I tell if I have the keyless elecronics in car to where all I need is the fobs?

Second, assuming I dont have the system I guess I would just go aftermarket. I have the factory security so I would only look into aftermarket keyless entries. If I remember correctly, aftermarket keyless have wires to disable factory alarm when unlocked as well as to arm when locked?

BTW, lets say I dont want to use factory alarm and just go full aftermarket. Should I completly remove OEM alarm electronics and use all functions of aftermarket alarm? If so, I will lose the blinking security light on door.

look underneath the glove box, is there a square black box with a small antenna taped to the lower panel? - If so, then you have the keyless entry brain. If not, then your car didn't come with keyless entry remote option, but is hardwired to install one if you wish. The wire harness is usually taped to the other harnesses with a BLUE piece of tape.

Some people have disconnected the front hood sensor - so that the system always thinks there is an "open" and never arms itself. (If you are going to put in an aftermarket alarm)

when I had my viper alarm in there, yes the security light still worked on the driver's side door. I have since added a GPS locator that I pay for monthly.

I will check for that once I am home in few months. Just trying to gather as much info as I can so I can know what to look for and make things easier once I start this. I would really like for the security light to blink (the one on door by switch) with an aftermarket alarm. Not a fan of super bright aftermarket LED's and non functioning light on door.

most people want to keep the car OEM. but security wise the original alarm is an antique it has no options other than unlock lock doors.

Now I love OEM I have OEM keyless but... LOJACK installed, I removed the unit after they installed it and put in in a new location. not the typical spot they install it on the NSX. if you dont know what your looking for your not gonna find it.
so I keep the OEM, but will get my car back in hours if its stolen.

but GPS tracking etc. is the state of the art stuff which will make you sleep better at night knowing its upgraded.

My oem alarm shit out and left me in a very embarrassing situation one day.

A real alarm technician will be able to find and tie into the wire that handles the security light on your door.
