MODERATORS CAN YOU PLEASE PARK THIS.

After much planning. We have decided on Sunday April 13th, 2003 as the day for the big SoCal OG canyon run. This is the day AFTER Bimmerfest 2003.

This is the World Famous OG Canyon Run. This is a very nice canyon run, its long and challenging and goes through the Santa Monica mountains until the ocean and back up. Lots of 180 degree hairpin turns and many twists. There is a huge long straightaway towards the end of the run good for some triple digit fun. I've done many canyon runs and most are organized affairs. This one will be the same. I will have maps printed out when you get there with detailed turn by turn instructions. The Vons parking lot is huge, so we have plenty of room. We are meeting up at 10:00 AM at the Vons parking lot and leaving at 11:00 AM. There is a McDonalds next to Vons. So you can grab a bite to eat if you need to. If you want to see how good your car handles this would be the time to bring it out. This is not a speed show.

This run is open to ALL cars, there is no hating on old or new BMW's, Porsche's, Ferrari's, Audi's or Honda's. We RESPECT everyone's choice in what cars they pick to drive.

This Canyon run will be posted up on a few other boards.

What... NSX's can't drive on canyons??? How come there has been no responses from the NSX crowd. The S2000 and BMW ///M crowd is ready to rumble. Here is a link to the S2000 discussion:

COME ON...LET'S SEE SOME NSX'S ON THIS RUN!!!

I'm down to roll. How many others out there are going. I'm taking my NSX and my girl. I'm going to invite a few of my freinds as well. How is the cop situation there?

I am really glad my favorite mass produced M/R engined cars are coming. No need to worry about cops. The canyon are empty of cops and people. You can tell anyone you want about this run. The more sportscar fanatics the better. I will post up an update in about a week or so with all the different makes and models of cars confirmed.

There are no cops. These are very remote curvy roads in the Santa Monica Mountains. I don't want to scare you... But the canyon run is quite long. This is a serious run. According to my odometer its around 120 total miles. It takes around 1.0-1.5 hours usually. Sometimes shorter if its a small fast group, sometimes longer. The canyon run ends at a seafood joint on PCH. So food is on the agenda. Plus there is Dukes around there and Gladstones plus a few other places in the area.

Let me see.....120 miles in 1.5 hours in the Santa Monica mountains......I want to see that car!!!!!

Okay guys.

We have another 10 days left for this Sports Car meet / Ultimate Canyon Run on April 13th at 10:00 AM.

We will be leaving at 11:00 AM.

This is the day after Bimmerfest. I'll be going to Bimmerfest with the LA Caravan. The car I'll be with is a 95' Avus Blue M3.

The car I'll be with at the Canyon Run is my 89' White E30 325i.

I have all the maps and turn by turn directions printed out already. The Canyon Run is close to 120 miles.

I will split the Canyon Run into 2 groups if we have more than 40 cars show up. So now is the time to confirm if you need to.

I have a rough list of the make and number of cars that are showing up on the bottom of this post.

The more the merrier, the parking lot is huge where we are meeting up. A link to meeting spot is on the first post.

Let's see some more sports cars show up.

And what's up with no Ferrari confirms?

See you guys on the 13th.

If you need more info or have questions, you can call me at 818-422-8545 or email me [email protected]

THE LIST AS OF 4/3/03:

Bmw = 20 cars

Honda (S2K and NSX) = 15 cars

Porsche = 5 cars

Audi/VW = 5 cars

Lotus Elise = 1

Ferrari = ????

Too bad it's the day of the Long Beach Grand Prix. :( It's not every day you can check out CART so close to home.

Great... so now I have a wedding to attend that day so I'm missing the race as well. :( At least I'm looking at a possible display spot for my car at next year's event.

if we're doing anything it will have to happen before the weekend. there is quite a bit of rain on the way and it'll be lingering around until late next week.

Is the run still on if it rains?

I'm down to still roll even if it rains, however I need to find out if the Canyon Run will still be held if it rains?
