someone should start a prediction pool. everyone chips in $5 and guesses the hp, msrp, displacement, etc. points are awarded for accuracy. winner takes all.

I second that! The guess should take into account:

1- Engine displacement ( L ) : D
2- Engine power ( hp ): P
3- Car curb weight ( lbs ): W
4- Car MSRP ( zloty ) ...okay, in USD. : $

We only have to apply this simple formula:

ABS VALUE( your guessed D - D ) / D + ... + ABS VALUE( your guessed $ - $ ) / $.

The lowest score will determine the winner...

Then in one year we can insert the real numbers and get the winner. I agree with your formula! Maybe we could add some weights to the different parts (Dguess-Dreal)/Dreal to enphatize over the HP for examples, but also as it is (weights=1 for all components) it is good!

You guys guessing on curb weights below 2,900lbs do realize that an S2000 weighs 2,809lbs right?

Do you really think a new Honda sportscar made out of basic steel components is going to weigh less than that?

For reference a $500,000 all carbon fiber Zonda S weighs that the same as the S2K. Repeat: ALL carbon fiber.
