Ian -- heh heh, don't think I haven't been eyeing it this winter! Maybe not this week of course but plenty of times this winter. Glad to hear yours is still faithfully starting at -41. Have you considered putting a plow blade on that thing?
This is a picture of the Tirerack from this morning, pretty nasty lake effect snow here (we get hit about 3 times harder than Chicago that is only 75 miles away). We got 8 inches on Monday and 11 inches yesterday. It is snowing like crazy, we will be lucky to see the sun. On the good side it is prime hottub weather

I feel the same. I live just off the coast of Lake Michigan (under 1/4 mile). We have been hit HARD up here over the past couple weeks. Snowbanks on the side of the road are approaching the height of car rooftops. You cannot see around most 4-way corners without pulling out into the intersection. It's very unsafe and quite scary.
CokerRat -->only 3 hours north of you and it was -41 C the other morning.....with windchill it was -58C
NSX2398 -->did you have to put a piece of cardboard in front of the radaitor yet?
i can't complain..my car started without plugging it in....
it snowed this morning and by home time the street were a skating rink....
good thing i got behind a sanding truck....saw all that sand hit the ground and my car....gave me great traction....then i thought thank goodness the NSX is parked and not seeing this abuse....
oh at every red light..when the light goes green..visibility is 0 with all that car exhaust providing a smoke screen for the first 10 secs....
get this my friend needed a boost so he called 5 tow truck companies...they were all 8-16 hours wait or not taking any more cars....
couple huge fire here to causing major tie ups and lots of ice....

Cardboard would be tacky .. actually, I custom cut a piece of hardboard for the center opening and painted it black to match the car so you can hardly tell it's there. I have since installed the Dali radiator shield which cuts down the flow through the radiator and might be enough in some areas, but I prefer the full blocker. Last year I drove for over 5 hours at -36 and the temp gauge was the same as it is in the summer. The interior heater also worked so well, I didn't even wear my jacket in the car.
NSX2398 --> have you ever had to add gasline antifreeze to your X yet?
91 X --> it's not that bad here it just sounds bad... i work indoors on a computer all day...the people here that work outdoors that kept the city in which i live in are the ones that are truely brave...
off topic
i have to give props to the local firefighters that fought many fires this past week...including the one that happened yesterday to my neighbor's supermarket. they fought the huge blaze (damaged pegged at 3 million) in -30 C (-45 C with windchill) temperatures not to mention holding a water hose for 3 hours...
my sympathies go out to my neighbor who lost their newly built supermarket in the blaze..
In the winter I usually just switch to using gas from Petrocan because it sells what it calls 'winter gas' with an antifreeze additive already in it. I tried ethanol blends at Mohawk once but my check engine light came on once so I quit and it hasn't come on since.
I just returned from being stranded in Barrie, Ontario last weekend and the snow was amazing with how fast it came down....I think my NSX would have been stuck.
The weather on Vancouver Island has been cloudy and cool. I manage to get out in the NSX about once or twice a week. Here's a pic from a Porsche club run a few weeks back. Despite the damp roads it was a 'spirited' drive.
