How to turn off ABS warning light?

I had some trouble with my ABS system (it failed). I unplugged the ABS pump so it wouldn't run for a full minute every time I started the car, but the yellow ABS warning light always came on.

What's the best way to get that light off, in the event I want to continue to run without ABS?

BTW, I bought a used ABS modulator/accumulator to get the problem fixed, but still wondered about this.

thanx

Yes, I can understand the idea of running without ABS might be scary. Different people have different situations. For me, my NSX is not a daily driver, I never drive it in the rain. I track the car a lot. Almost all true race cars don't have ABS, because if you have ABS you can't do threshold braking, and the ABS hardware adds to the weight of the car. Threshold braking is key for high performance driving - you're operating on the threshold of losing traction while braking, and the wheels are actually turning slower than the car is moving, but not going into a full skid. It's the highest degree of negative accelleration you can do.

Racing shoes worn by real race car drivers have very thin soles, so that they can regulate the brake pedal pressure using their toes to do very precise threshold braking. From what I've been taught, leg/ankle muscles don't have enough fine motor control to allow regulation to that degree. Really cool.

Anyway, for me, not having ABS is a viable option for my track car, I would really like to become good at threshold braking. I figure that sooner or later my used ABS system will fail, and I'll want to run without it. But how can you get the dumb yellow idiot light off?
