How to import Taitec products to Europe?

Hi guys,
I live in Italy and I'm planning to buy the Taitec headers and exhaust. I could do it via some US retailers, but I would have to pay import taxes to Italy, plus the fact that it makes little sense to have these parts travelling all around the world (Taitec is based in Japan).
Does anybody know if there a European importer or whether it's possible to make a direct import from Taitec-Japan?

Thanks

Mike

As the NSX is very rare in Europe you can count the importers for aftermarket parts on one hand. The main reason are the astronomic prices charged by dealers in Switzerland compared to more competitive markets. I've ordered my Taitec from SoS. The information and the friendliness provided are very important for me. Call Chris and he'll help you.

Import taxes, transport costs (fully insured!) and so on have to be paid, so take them into account.

Greetings

Thomas

Well, if you order genuine Honda NSX parts from the states, and ad shipping, tax, customs etc. It will still save you a fair amount of $ compared to buying parts at your local Honda dealer.

I did it with my transmissioncase (snapring failure), and i saved quiet significant amount, since i had the shortgears comming from the USA anyway.

Try to get information, on how to import stuff without paying taxes from someone who does a lot of importing from the states. You have to be lucky, coz sometimes i pay $0 and sometimes i pay full. Also depends on which shipping company is use. UPS for instance, have their own customs here in Holland, and they process EVERY part, postal services for that matter, hardly look at any part.

Good luck,

Mich

You will have to pay taxes whether the stuff is shipped from US or Japan.
US has a "big" market for NSX parts, and prices are low. You can buy parts produced in Europe cheaper from US (incl. taxes) then from some european dealer.
SoS and Dali Racing have good prices and are very helpful when it comes to shipping.
And like Mich says; the national postal services do not always charge the taxes, but they are slower. UPS charge you EVERY time and deliver after 2-4 days here in Norway.
