If there are two rattles near the dome light and mirror see if one of the attachment screws are loose.
On the glove box problem see if the hinge screws are loose, also the lock itself in the door or the adjustable bracket on the dash for security. Maybe the door just needs to be adjusted, snugged up a little. I had all of these problems with my 95 Legend GS.
Now the center console near the radio. Does it sound like an electric motor with a bearing going out? I would suspect the aspirator motor being your problem. Do the test drive with the radio off and turn the environmental control system (ECS) off, then ecs back on. I think that will turn the aspirator off and on. Also have someone listen near the end of the park brake handle near the 4 or 5 small slots (that is where the aspirator motor/sensor is located when you are doing this. This was the rattle behind the center console in my car. This little motor runs a fan that pulls cabin air over a temp sensor for the ECS system. It gets dirty, out of adjustment and out of balance over time.
It is very easy to remove and clean. Some guys just take a can of low pressure air, computer cleaner, and blow into those small slots. Do it with the fan running so you get all of the dirt off. If that doesn't do the job you will have to pull the center console cover and clean the aspirator motor. Be sure to read the manual on removal of those parts. If you haven't done it before, it is very easy, but if you don't do it right you can break some very expensive parts. Take your time. If the motor is still working you don't need a new one, ($210) it will clean up and be fine. Even if it isn't working it may still clean and be ok. It is quite simple, not cheap!! The motor shaft has very small needle bearing points and one end is adjustable for preload. Just snug on the preload, no slop, but not tight. It should turn freely by hand. Then just snug on the lock nut. I put a small drop of 3 in 1 oil on the needle points, just enough for lubrication. We don't want to collect dust. Not too tight on those screws going into the plastic parts too. Remember we don't need to hold an axel on here just some plastic parts.
I really like the idea of the felt as previously mentioned. I will have to stick that somewhere that I won't loose it............now where would that be??????
Good Luck,
Brad
