Got my speed bleeders and want to flush brakes this W/E. Plan to buy the Valvoline DOT 4 sythetic. How much fluid to I need to buy?

Any speed bleeder tips?

Thanks,

Bill

One of the 1 liter (quart/32oz) bottles should do you fine.

If it is difficult to get fluid or you are stranded if you make a mistake: get two of them. It is $5 insurance and gas is $3 gallon.

I usually only open the bleeders about 1/2 turn to try and ensure a leak free environment...the speedbleeder sealent is very shallow.

Thanks Drew.

What should I torque them to initially prior to opening the half turn to bleed?

I am trying to get ALL the old fluid out, so about how many brake peddle pushes? If I am trying to get ALL the fluid out verses just an annual bleed, is 1 ltr still a good estimate?

Thanks,

Bill

Great, thanks! I should have known to go to Danoland. I'll try this weekend. I already did the ABS couple weeks ago.
