How much do you have to make year/salary to own NSX?

People have been very helpful, with advice about investing, and division of income, but in alot of cases this ends up being a tender subject.

Ahh, sorry but gotta vent at this one... sure I feel bad for all the IT jobs lost but by the same token my investment in their salaries is even worse.

But the same folks that were telling me they would only consider a job with my firm if I offered 6 figures, options, recaro seats and ping-pong tables in a rec room 16 months ago...

...are knocking on my door at the realistic salaries today, and quick to offer cutting their salaries to whatever...

...C++ programmers willing to become doc writers just to pay the bills...

So in short, nice to see the world back to a more realistic stage. Enough of kids playing house with the stock market.

How about we re-introduce "productivity" as a concept.

Ok, enough blabbering.

I agree. I prefer to see people get high salaries when they deserve it. I'm glad things are getting back to normal.

18 months ago I interviewed at one of those Internet development houses with the "Rec Room" concept. I was interviewed by a 23 year old girl whose title was "Senior" Software Engineer. The only thing Senior about her was her current college curriculum. Last I heard they had dumped most of their staff.

Again, I think I will stick with what I've got and not complain any more.

I think the key part is "My wife makes more than I do" meaning your household income is probably way over $100k. I dont think you qualify for the "hardship" category.

Maybe this is the key to the problem I could never figure out!!! How everybody affords so much on 100k.... "my wife's income"............ AH HA......... I have the mtg, car payment, etc... all by my lonesome. I guess that's how all these people have a 300k house, 100k car, 50k car and all the toys and only make 100k. The other side is unmentioned...... (my wife makes another ~90k) ah ha!
