hello, ive been lurking on prime for some times now getting as much info as i can before owning one.

its almost time for me get an NSX and i'm looking around for car insurance.

i was just wondering if some of the owners, under the age of 30 (im 27), would pitch in and share how much they are paying for insurance yearly. it would be nice to know the coverage and the company if you guys are comfortable with sharing such info.

thanks!

I'm 35 with clean license and paying $1004, via geico. I have 5 cars and 2 bikes on the policy which further discounts it. good luck and welcome to the club.

If you had done a search this has come up 27x before. While dated, it would give some idea of rates, but keep reading.

Any responses are pretty much irrelevant since most people aren't going to live in your state, with your zip code, (none of which you bothered to include in your info below your screen name. Rates vary a bit between NYC & WY) your driving record, and your marital status. Or your multi-car or multi-policy discount (or lack thereof). Coverage limits? Daily driver or pleasure car? Garaged, in driveway or on street parked overnight? (I hope not)

Why not just call a few insurance agents in your area & get a real answer? Or go online to Geico, Progressive, esurance, etc. and get a quote. This isn't brain surgery.

+1 ^

25 paying $105 a month for full coverage.My 01 Lexus IS300 is actually $5 more.

Also got my house insured by them and my Honda Ruckus.State farm btw.

I'm over 30 and my post is probably in one of the other threads in TyraNSX's post. My last renewal came in at $283/6 months ($566/year). Full coverage with liability at 250/500, under 7,500 miles/year. Just make sure you are comparing like coverage. My 250/500 liability coverage is probably on the higher side.

After NSXPO i did call the insurance company.

Now if i were primary on it:

Pre 96 is 1804 a year
Post 96 (even 02+) is 2804 a year with full coverage

Both are considerably less if my brother/dad is primary on it

I turned 22 a month and a half ago.

I'm in my mid-30's

$660/yr, full coverage, $0/$0 deductibles, 7500 miles or less, northern IN

There you go for me.

Every 6 Months - $418.43

I have a $1M/$1M/$1M coverage policy with $500 deduct. FYI, it's VERY important to take specific note to your uninsured motorists coverage as MOST have that at $100K. If you are in a car accident where the other person does not have insurance, your medical expenses fall under that portion of your premium. Once you hit $100k, anything in excess - is out of pocket as your medical insurance will not cover those overages. You CAN get screwed.

I have my policy allowing up to $1 Mill in coverage and anything in excess, falls to an umbrella policy I have.

Either way, as already stated above - your premium is based on where you live, driving record, what other types of coverages you have, discounts, and your coverages and deductibles. If you're on the fence about buying a car because you think the insurance may be to expensive - then you can't afford the car.
