How long can OEM shocks last?

I decided to get a real good set, the TEIN RE. The different is huge to OEM.

+1 ... Although mine has the RA's (a bit hard for some) the difference is incredible, like, goes from great to fantastic.

my stock shocks are still great. I was looking at the S-tech springs also. If you do install it with your stock shocks, can you please let me know how it ride?

If anyone who just installed springs on the OEM shocks, can you let me know what kind of springs it is, how low is it, and the ride. Thanks

i just replaced the stock springs with S-tech Springs 2 weeks ago, it lowered the front 0.6 inch and the rear 1 inch. however, i cannot tell how it rides due to all 4 stock shocks are leaking after the S-tech replacement. the stock shocks look like 16 years old(original) with 75k miles. i'm looking for a new set of bilstein shocks now

Holy Thread Revival! :)
If you were wondering how long your shocks might last when this topic was first created, then you probably should have replaced them by now.

When buying aftermarket shocks, save your receipts forever. Most aftermarket performance shocks (including Bilsteins) come with a lifetime parts warranty to the original purchaser. If they leak and/or need replacement, they will do so for free.
