I called my local Honda dealer today and picked up the oil filter.
The thing is it is a diff. number than what you guys have stated. It is a 15400-PT7-005. Does anyone know about this number??

That is incorrect. Dealers have access to the NSX filter, however the shorter one fits and is substituted most of the time. Settle only for the NSX specific filter!

Anyone know where you can get a good deal on a ten pack of nsx filters other than from dali racing? I have had no problems with them, but after reading in the vendor forum I feel that until service gets better I would like to look for another source rather than chance it again when I'm through with my initial ten.

So, don't use the one I have???

Use it, order your new filter, then change your oil again a little early. If you change every 3000K, then maybe change it this time at 2000K. That is what I did. Unless you are planning on tracking your car or driving at some really high speeds, using the smaller filter should be okay for street driving for a while. It will definately get dirtly faster, so just change your oil earlier. No sense throwing away the filter if you already have it. However, this is just my opnion and what I did when I got the smaller filter. Others here are purists and won't put that filter on even for 1 day.

Join the NSX Club of America and order them from Niello Acura or Goodson Acura using your member discount.

Or, you can order them from your local dealer. Most dealer parts departments are happy to give you a nice discount on oil filters if you order them by the case. Just make sure they don't substitute for the proper part number.
