That sucks. Is it me or did that crash seem a bit out of the norm?

Ouch. Hard to tell from the angle if the guy just misjudged the Audi or might have hit something on the ground to make the NSX slide into it. (No audio on my pc atm so I couldnt tell if anything was being said)

Looks to me like the NSX was making a clean pass and the Audi turned into him. Still the NSX driver could have given more room as he passed.

damn~~ another totalled NSX, but it is a race car so they it doesn't have to be road legal. just fix the damn thing and keep on racing!!

You may need to get your eyes checked. I think the NSX driver thought he was clear of the Audi and let it drift a little too much.

Oh well, that's racing.

Hmm, well my contacts are burning a bit, but I do believe my eyes are fine Doc thanks. If the NSX thought he was "clear", then he must be blind in his left eye.

He was passing too close...no doubt about it.

C'mon...

I am all for NSX camaraderie but it is clear it was the NSX driver's fault.

I don't know for sure who turned into who; however, I don't recall saying it WASN'T the NSX driver's fault. I recall saying: "He ( The NSX driver) could have given him more room as he passed". Good? Good...now let's back off the Blade.

to me, the nsx is off the line, and it seems like it just understeer enough to contact the A3. It seems to me that the A3 driver doesn't need to back off by rule, but to keep himself running, he should have back off and let the nsx by...

my guess would be that the rear tire if the nsx slamed on the front tire of the Audi. (aka F1 crashes or open wheel)
check out the Audi's front wheel offset. the tires looks like it sticking out a good inch or 2.
probably that's why it seems like a sudden jolt

It's no big deal, but you did say it was the Audi driver's fault. Don't take it personally. We are all friends here.

Different speculations, different interpretations, here's mine:

- The Audi was on the dry line and did NOT move to the right, he stayes in his line
- The NSX was passing on the wet side with at least two tires in the wet
- The NSX driver could not leave more room because he was losing grip already
- The NSX rear tire hit the door, NOT the front wheel of the Audi

-> The NSX driver was not misjudging where the Audi was, he simply lost the grip on the front while taking the Audi on the sharper radius curve with less grip. The NSX driver was misjudging the grip level there for the speed he wanted to pass.

That NSX is easy repairable as he didn't impact hard in the sidewall.

Well Then!!! I guess That settles That...........time to move on.

"The Audi was on the dry line and did NOT move to the right, he stayes in his line." That's true I think the NSX driver misjudged thinking he was clear of the Audi, but the Audi driver kept his foot in it, and was attemping to move back up onto the dry line.
