Re: Honda HSV-10 New Photo
I like it. Hope Honda will come through on this one.

Anyone see the new Road & Track? It has a sick rendition of what the NSX might look like.
Overtones of the current NSX ...
Form the photos in the above post its possible to see not just the front bumper / headlight association, but also the components at the front end that confirm this would be a focussed drivers car. Firstly the low hood line for and low front screen offering great visibility. Then theres the forming of the front fenders over thecentre line of the front wheels. A key design of the original, clearly seen on the new and unashamedely copied by Maclaren on the so sexy new MP4. At the rear you can see the full width 'lighting'.
Many people are hung up on this being a 'rear' mid engined car. But whats wrong with it being a 'front' mid engined car? Mazda have been doing this with the RX7 since the early 90's. If Honda pulls it off with the new sportscar, adds in a torquey V8T with sequential 6 speed and SH-AWD, I am willing to bet that the average driver will be quicker and safer from A to B in this new car than the original.

Dude every car you just posted as different all have something in common......theyre all mid-engined. They dont allow MR cars anymore so the new super-gt cars will look similar being that theyre all FR. You cant look at super-gt cars and compare because they all have to follow strict guidlines to level the playing field hence why they all look alike. Look at the production version to all these vehicles and theyre like night and day.
Oh wow is this the HSV engine?? Yeah Hondas getting good at showing the US what it can't have.
Looks pretty similar to the previous version that everyone was bitching about last time:biggrin:
Oh, we're still around... At least this looks a bit better than the last concept (though not as instantly and insanely gorgeous as the HSC) Hehe
Setting aside arguments regarding weight distribution, collision safety, and even driver feel, from a purely aesthetic design perspective I personally prefer the look a mid-engined car. Short snout, pronounced and beefy rear... I love it. Call me a product of 80s & 90s design brainwashing but the mid engine design screams supercar to me.
Now the RX-7 FDs are absolutely beautiful cars. I've still got my eye out for a FD R1 in White 5spd since I love that car so much... but they're both apples and oranges to me.
Wow, that is fierce looking. I imagine if they toned down the aggressive body work, that would make an excellent NSX replacement!
Wake up Honda, please!!!!
