Have you guys considered downgrading your dreams to running Honda Challenge instead? It might be cheaper as well as allow you to improve your skills and learn the tracks.

Honda-Challenge currently does not allow heavily modified NSX's. The rules are set so that all Honda cars are competitive with one another. And even then, the series seems big on either coast but not for those "land-locked." Texas has a HC series but it looks as if participation is small at best.

FWIW, I'd love to see an NSX only race series (along the lines of ViperDays) or club racing similar to what the BMWCCA and PCA does. The easiest way to get this done would be for Honda-Challenge to allow a class for prepared (on various levels) NSX's or have the NSXCA sponsor something along the same lines. Maybe have specific regions host an event?

Anyway, that was off-topic and probably deserves it's own thread.

For now were going to stay with our original plans and not quit our goals until it makes the most since. Actually we have reviewed the Honda Challenge schedule for races at common tracks with the Grand-Am series. This would allow us to explore another series and test at important tracks. The schedules didn’t seem to mesh well. As for our car; it would fit well with the HC rules, were a street stock class that uses a stock engine, trans, glass, body and brakes… we even use the stock dash as required in the series. The only thing that would need to be replaced is the ECU.
