Didn't see a prior thread on this, but how many NSX owners here also own a Honda Beat PP1? (The kei car, not the scooter.) For those that don't know about this car, it's a mini-NSX built between 1991-95 for the JDM market. I know a lot of NSX owners also own an S2000, but I think the Beat is a closer cousin, meaning mid-engine rear-wheel drive, but with a 3-cylinder engine that is 660cc (as per kei car regulations) and comes with ITB from the factory. Horsepower when new was just 63hp and top speed is like 86mph, but that's likely downhill and downwind and with someone pushing the car. (Mine struggles to get above 72-73mph) Tach has an 8500rpm redline, and it sounds incredible with the ITB's right behind you. They made about 32,000 units, with 20,000 units in the first year. It's slow, it's small, it's loud... yet it's so much fun to drive!!! Going 45mph on a 2-lane country road with the top down feels and sounds like 80mph in the NSX, as you are in 5th gear at 5000rpm already, lol. I've had my Beat for about 3 weeks now, and although I know it's still in the honeymoon period, I've picked the Beat over the NSX when needing to run any errands around town. Who else owns both?

NA1 and AP2 here. But would love to experience a Beat.

Saw one in red at a car show today. Agree I would love to get one, but they're hard to find in Canada.

The beat is a blast to drive! I was surprised since it is so low in power. You do have to get used to its size. It is quite small but like you said, great to drive around town! I recently got rid of mine since I moved to a more populated area and did not feel comfortable driving it in heavy traffic.

That really looks fun to drive and cruise at country sides.

63HP and 86mph is smokin' for a Kei vehicle.
Those ITB's wound out must sound fantastic, too!
Also being a S2000 owner, I would love to give a Beat a spin...
Our Acty microvan only has 38HP and can manage 73mph flat out :ROFLMAO:
