Honda Beat in the US?

I thought the Honda Beat was JDM only? I saw one today where I live driving around.

Was it the yellow one driving around Redmond? I've seen it a few times, and even parked next to it before. Every time I've seen it has been near/on the Microsoft campus, so I'd bet it belongs to a 'Softie. That is definitely a JDM Beat, and they have never been sold in the US to my knowledge. I'm amazed that it passed import standards. With an engine that size, maybe it only needs to meet motorcycle standards

Yup, must be the same one. I have to hand it to this guy, he must be a TRUE Honda enthusiast to go to the trouble of bringing a Beat to the US.

I don't know if he indeed go thru the trouble to bring the BEAT to the US.

I've seen it here a few times in SF, once in Sears Point.

Also, what more interesting is I've seen a few Honda Hybrid and electric car that are not available in Honda dealer in pacific heights neighborhood in San Francisco. The electric car looks like a blend of toyota RAV 4 and Honda CRV. And it's not only 1 or 2. Ive seen quite a few of it in the driveway in those neighborhood.
