Just read in a Ford customers magazine that I was on the track together with a historic GT 40 last year in Magny-Cours (France). It was the golden No. 5 car that ended 3rd in the 1-2-3 Ford victory of Le Mans 1966, driven by the americans Ronnie Bucknum and Dick Hutcherson. It had about 560 PS and a top speed of over 350 km/h.
Picture was made by me last year in the pits of Magny-Cours. This No. 5 car now belongs to a guy called Claude Nahum.
You can read my experience and more pics in my story here . Now that I know that this car has over 500 PS I'm no longer astonished how it humiliated my NSX on the straights.
OTOH: This GT 40 was slower than me over the whole track because it was on street legal tires and much slower in the corners.
