It's a Canadian company but they have 2 U.S distributors, one in KY and the other in CO. I have the same problem you do, bought 4 of these two years ago (but only use 2) and they cured it. I back into my garage and as long as I pull out / back in slowly, I can go straght in, not at an angle. For the $$$, they're hard to beat.
 
Why don't you get a permit from HB?

I did that in my city (took 3 months) but I was able to pour a new driveway apron and now I can drive my low cars in my driveway without an issue.

I have no idea why i would need a permit, but I do. The city says that it's the government's property and you need their consent to remove or do anything to it. Also, you would need a class A contractor to build your new driveway. $5,000 to widen my driveway.....

You're right, these are pretty cheap compare to Bridjit curb ramps hahahah.
