Last saturday I went to a friends house to welcome him home from service in Korea. Stayed over pretty late, well after midnight, talking about his experiances over there. After the festivities it was time to drive home. While on a back road about 3am, I saw out of the corner of my eye a reflective shine. It was a ways ahead of me so I didnt give it much thought. I was doing about 50 when the image shown again, this time it was closer but very faint. I slowed a bit and then bam, a deer was right in the middle of the road. The reflection I had seen was the deers eyes when he lifted his head to face my lights. It disapeared because he turned his head. Since the HID kit has a much further dispersion of light I was able to avoid the collision. The deer barely flinched at the sqreaching of my brakes and the headlights coming at him though! Honestly, had I had the standard bulbs in my car I would not have seen the deer until it was too late. There was no option of going off the road as there were no shoulders and a good 4ft ditch on both sides.
Thanks Steve (whiteNSXs)! Your HID kit saved me. I would definatly recommend anyone who is still running the stock lights to get a ride in someones car with the HID kit. The difference in night and day. I hate to drive Kays 02 Accord at night. In fact, Im looking at getting her a G35 for this very reason.
