Hey Guys

Yes I also have a Suzuki GSX-R600... I think I said something to you at the lights Columbia & King...

Rudeboy, I think it was me you saw, were you on a motorcycle? I met someone at a light in Waterloo last summer.

The car has a clean title here, but in the states I believe it's a salvage. I didn't run a carfax, can anyone run one for free? VIN #JH4NA21682T00040

I'm in no rush, as I said. I am waiting for the right car to come my way. I prefer the newer style (NA2), but would buy an NA1 and possibly do an NA2 front conversion. I have a soft sport for black cars too

Right car is the way to go vs. something you'd buy based on price alone. I bought a NA1 and recently converted to +02 look and love it!

BE CAREFUL!!!!!!!

Once a car is registered as SALVAGE in the USA it should be un-importable as a "drivable" car. It is also uninsurable - I've heard about people who've bought salvage us cars with "clean" canadian title and then wound up not being able to register them or insure them in Canada.

I'd check the ownership, check it out with your insurance company (worry that you may not be able to change companies) and, overall, personally, I wouldn't buy the car - save $15,000 sure, but potentially have a massive headache - not worth it!

Also, if the car had a "major off" then I'm worried about the full suspension, you should really have the stuff x-rayed to see if it was simply bent back into shape (at this price it likely was) - its the formula for Aluminum Failure, you could lose one or both front wheels at any time.

Overall, I'm not sure the due diligence is worth the discount - I'd buy a high milage 02+ instead, the motor lasts forever, its the frame and title I'd worry about.

Thanks guys, I decided on not getting that NA2. Jetpilot, that's exactly what I'd do with an NA1. Car looks stunning.

I'd prefer the 3.2 w/ 6 speed but I don't think I can justify the $$, because at that price I would just go out an buy a C6 Z06, which would be a no brainer.

I'll just wait it out until I find the perfect car....all I have is time

Hehehe I knew it was you. I remember you saying something along the lines of having the 'bigger brother' at home

Yes... Yes... I did say that... I remember checking out your ride! Looked really nice! Not many people would know what the heck I'm talking about... but I figure you would know, without trying to come off rude, as you'll eventually see yourself... there are some really interesting haters floating around town. But for the most part I just smile and carry on.

Hopefully we'll get the chance to meetup in town I can probably tell you some stories about things that have happend to me in and near the NSX... spring is hopefully around the corner... its almost time to do a mini-meet in town... well as soon as the roads are good, and hopefully some of the really big pot holes are filled (yea right!).

As for finding the right car... your right all you have is time, eventually the right one will fall from the sky, I got lucky 2 times now. I also have a local guy keeping an eye out in the U.S & Can auctions for another 91-96. Either Auto that I can convert to manual since I have everything to do so, or high mileage NSX with a good shell. Hopefully a reasonably priced with a clean title, that needs some work. So with some blood sweat and tears, & some love it will become something special.

If you want PM me I'll give you his name and #, and see what he can come up with for you too?
