I just joined, after 2 years of using the site. I'm in the Waterloo area, I currently own an 07 S2000. I'm doing the constant search for a summer/track project NSX.

I'm eager to join the group of very mature, enthusiastic NSX members.

Here's some pics of my past cars (I didn't take any of my 2007 yet)

I've had: 2002 S2000 (Berlina black) w/ header/exhaust, test pipe
2004 S2000 (Rio Yellow) w/ comptech intake, test pipe, etc
2007 S2000 (Imola Orange) w/ PRM intake, KW3's, high flow cat, etc

Well, now you gotta join the NSX Club of Canada!

You will enjoy the move from an S2000 to an NSX.

My old 01 SPA S2000 was an incredible car.

A few guys on the board are selling their NSXs. I would buy one of those as we know the history of those cars.

Welcome!

Hey Bio, I definitely remember you posting on s2ki...you had an s2k for a DD correct?

Basically, If I get the nsx, I'd more than likely sell My S. I don't mind something with higher K, as long as it's in pristine condition. Would it be possible to get something 91-93 for under $35? Or do I have to travel across the boarder to achieve this?

edit: I also noticed a London resident (Ody) has an older red nsx possibly for sale....Can you guys send me in the direction of some local cars? I'd much appreciate that.

Talk to sw_batte, he's got the red one for sale in London. Pristine.

BTW welcome! Less talk, more nsx hunting!

that car was auto and it was sold last fall

Sean's car (swbatte) I think hes asking more than what your willing to pay
but give it a try anyways

I remember you. Your first S2000 was stolen, right?

I had my S2000 as a daily (12 mos a year) for about 2.5 years. Ive had my NSX as a daily (9 mos a year) since XMAS 04. One of the guys on the old toronto forum bought my car in Dec 04 and is still driving it to this day. Its been as great for him as it was for me. Love that fun little car.

If you like red, you will not find a better NSX than Seans (swbatte). It is perfect and not too much above your price. Id buy that one over importing one from the US.

I think I'll definitely have to check it out. I'll tell you guys about the first S2k I had (in person on one of the summer meets/cruises) on how a very big Honda dealership tried to screw me royally.

Aside from that, I love red and I'd very much like to check out swbatte's car.

Ok guys so I am really thinking of getting this car VIN #JH4NA21682T00040. It drives very nice (took it out for a 2+ hour test drive). I worked out a semi-deal with him for $45k, he might go lower. We've been talking over it for 2 months but it does have a history. I'll post pics.

Bram has been great helping me out with finding one.... just to let everyone know, the seller will be selling for $55-60k at the exotic auto trader If I don't get it.

Here's some pics:

Clutch has been done by Acura Erin Mills, 4 brand new tires w/ Volk rims.

If anyone has anymore info (yay or nay) lmk. It's an 02 w/ 26miles.
Thanks

If the title is clear I think thats a great deal. Id put its value at $60k without the history. That damage doesnt look too bad to me, but I would probably bring it to a laser to get measured anyways. PM pbasso with this.

Thanks Bio, the only other one I was looking at was the 2002 black NSX @ Ready Honda, but I think they are a bit out to lunch with the price, $79 000. I always wanted a black NA2 but the silver in person was very nice too! The car (above) has been serviced regularly @ Acura Erin Mills, they might have some insight on this, hopefully.

My concern is the rim damage - that kind of hit would have killed that side's front suspension - since its aluminum you won't know until it cracks.

I agree, laser measure the whole car to make sure its straight, but factor in a new set of front a-arms (top & bottom) etc. unless he can show you invoices to prove otherwise

Yeah, but even if he doesnt budge, if the car is straight and has a clean title, $45k is a killer price.

Id buy it if the title and frame check out.

If you dont, I may (for that price)!!!! One NA2 just isnt enough!

Ok here's the thing, car has clean title here but in the states I think it has a claim like salvage, not too sure yet but I don't know how US classes an accident when it goes to insurance companies.

Then I guess $45k is a fair price. But if it is straight and you plan on driving it, why not?

And I think I was low with my estimate of what it would be worth no story. I said, $60k, bet its more like $65k-$70k up here, which is what it would cost to bring a US 02 up.

Hey didn't I meet you at GTO about 2 summers ago, your girlfriend spotted me on King and you did a U turn? I remember your Yellow S2000... or at lest pretty sure it was you?

I have to agree with Biobanker, that is a killer price on a clean title car... this was a US car right... looks like a minor accident did they apply a 'Salvage' tile rebuit? Have it checked out frame wise etc... cosmetic from the looks of it, did you try running the VIN in Carfax etc?

Rudeboy, I think it was me you saw, were you on a motorcycle? I met someone at a light in Waterloo last summer.

The car has a clean title here, but in the states I believe it's a salvage. I didn't run a carfax, can anyone run one for free? VIN #JH4NA21682T00040

I remember seeing that car advertised before and I remember that there was something wonky about the title; buy it if its straight! And if you dont buy it, please post such here and contact info. I bet someone here will. I can think of a few guys who'd be all over it.

Sure thing Bio, but I'm 90% sure I'm going to buy it.....it all depends on my sale of my S2000. Spring fever is coming, maybe someone will :-)

Stephen, I'll check out the car tomorrow as promise...However, as I said, when I saw the underside of this car at Erin Mills two years ago it looked like it did have a big off.
Allan did say he think the car may have some frame damage that day. So I would say a frame check must done on the car before you put any monies down.

If the frame checked out to be within spec, then this is a steal.

Exactly, I'm not going to buy anything that would compromise the integrity (frame wise) of the car. If it doesn't work out, I have lots of time to search

the only thing is that if the frame was fine Im sure the seller would have documents to prove it and the price would be $60k +.

So if you get this car measured, he will jack the price on you if the frame checks out okay.

He won't jack up the price, he told me I could go to Acura Erin Mills to check it out.... He's a cool guy and from my understanding, money isn't a real problem concern.

I'm in no rush, as I said. I am waiting for the right car to come my way. I prefer the newer style (NA2), but would buy an NA1 and possibly do an NA2 front conversion. I have a soft sport for black cars too
