I have an OEM CD changer that won't read the disks. Is there an alignment procedure for the laser or someplace I can send it to get serviced rather than replaced?
as I mentioned before on ur other thread, it might be the laser's gone . . . so now are u 100% the laser is not good ? if so maybe its cheaper to get the aftermarket one rather than get it serviced, or try to find some good 2nd hand one from ppl in this forums . . . .
In my experience with changers these days, it is just cheaper to go buy a new one rather than fool around with getting the older one repaired. I took one of my old Honda changers for repair, and paid like $120 for it. Came with a 30 day warranty, and sure enough, about 6 weeks later the same thing happened again.
