HELP! No power and couldn't start

Horn or headlights working? Nothing on the dash lights up at all? Try banging on the bulkhead panel just behind the passenger seat headrest. You might have a bad main relay and a bit of "shock" might bring it back.

Ia there such thing call starter fuse? Could it be a blown fuse? If so, where is the fuse so I can check it out. Is it uder the driver side dash or the one in the front under the hood?

Check the battery connections if good than jump start.

But it doesn't even crank, click, power or anything indicating a weak battery. I'll try it though. Urgh...this is going to be embrassing infront of Blockbuster.

I don't think there is a fusible link between the battery and the fuse boxes. If the car is completely dead it should either be a bad battery connection or the battery itself has completely failed.

If you do get a jump, remember the jumper terminal is in the fuse box in the engine compartment. Take a look at your owner's manual, hopefully it's where it belongs in your glovebox.

HA! As I was driving up to get my car running agian, I was fortunate to have run into a prime member appreciating my setup. He pointed out a few possible causes. He also adjusted the connection to the battery and it started! Thanks Amir!

Glad to hear it was a simple fix. Check all the battery connections when you get home. Make sure they are tight and corrosion free. Baking soda mixed with water dissolves battery acid corrosion if you do have that problem. Use some dielectric grease on the terminal connections.

Yes, I was going to suggest "Check your battery terminal connections" About 2 months ago, the same happened to me, except the power steering went out then I rolled into the nearest place. The terminal connection was loose after hitting a couple of bumps. Luckily, the place happened to be a strip joint..hehehe

You got some strippers to help jump start your car?

Sometimes the battery connector bolts get stretched (especially the negative terminal--probably from being disconnected more times than the positive one) and even if you tighten them as far as they can go, the terminal connector will still be loose. As a quick fix, you can jam a piece of stripped electrical wire between the clamp and terminal and then tighten it down. Of coures, the better option is to replace the connector with a new one.
