Hey all!! Like many others, I am pursuing the dream of purchasing a NSX for the first time. I found this 1995 NSX (3000 miles, apparently in excellent condition):

What would be a fair asking price for this car? Thanks for the help all, hopefully this car may be the one!

$48K at first glance seems like a lot for a 95, but 3000 miles?? That's not even broken in!
However I would think it depends on which features work for you - check out this http://www.nsxprime.com/FAQ/General/changesbyyear.htm
the post 97's have the bigger engine, better headers & 6 speed
I think you can still probably find a 97+ for that money which won't have significantly high miles (although not 3K!); if you can steal that one at $45K, go for it!
In this economy, you will find many more options open to you at $45-50K than in the low 30's, where dealers especially will be more likely to want to unload - costs tehm too much to have it sit in the showroom.

p.s. the features mentioned above were not that important to me - I got a good deal on a 93 with only 15K miles.

As a data point, I paid $50k for my 95 in 98. At the time it had a tad over 8000 miles on it.

A car will definitely get a premium of thousands of dollars for super-low miles (under 10K or so). However, because such cars are so rare, it's difficult to say what a fair price is for it. If you're happy with the car you're getting for the money, and the seller is willing to accept your offer, then by definition that's a fair price.

P.S. Your username is going to get confused with Ken's (Chopsjazz).

It's bad enough we have NSXTech and NSX Tech...

Potential new owner needs a favor!! Is there anyone close enough to this car and would be willing to take a look at it in person?

Also, does someone have a carfax account to check out the vin? JH4NA1184ST000306

Thanks for any help!! Hope to be joining the list of NSX owners!

I might be able to check it out, but not before the middle of next week.

I can also recommend a dealer to do a mechanical inspection if the CarFax and cosmetic inspection check out.

Send me an e-mail...
