I have two questions...

1. Why does the speedo jump at aroun 52ish straight to 60 as if there is some sort of electrical glitch.

2. What is that rattling noise that starts at 140 and gets worse at 160 and above?

The 6th gear acts as a overdrive on most of the domestic cars ( improves fuel economy). Vipers and Vettes top out in 5th and both will BOG big time in 6th.

i think that vid is done on the vid souly b/c there is strictly no movement on the camera man..

even if it was on a mount on the cage, the bumps on the road or the vibes from the car just would shake a bit...

What was that, about 45 seconds to go from 0-195 or so with two odd artificial jumps (0-17 and 54-60)?

Watch this... a local guy going 0-197.5 in under 30 seconds, still accellerating hard when he lets off and the only odd artificial jump is when he activates the nitrous in fifth.

I can only imagine what his speedo would look like if we could see it.

HOLY JEEZUS!!! That was INSANE!!! By the looks of his speed compared to the speedo, that's got to be KPH vs. MPH, but nonetheless... INSANE. He rode a wheelie into 120! just... WOW!

oh, and if you've ever noticed, on board cameras always look like they are moving slower than they are..... you can't really tell by the lines in the road.... look at the trees on the side of the road -that'll show you wasup hehe

I think it could be real.. The 1st to 2nd for the '50-60' jerk is probably the wheels spinning due to the torque. There is a reasonable amount of jerkiness on the camera, even if it's not as much as our T-TOP would produce :wink:

Also, 0 starts around 13 seconds on the video, and ends around 18 seconds. This is a lot slower than what the car can do..... though it doesn't look like a launch. If it were 'fake' I would assume he/she would want to show off a little more impressive.

It would seem to me that if it were on a dyno, it would have a lot less resistance as it going through the gears, and thus 4th/5th/6th would rev faster than it does. I haven't experience a dyno yet though...

Just because it's not an NSX, let's not automatically doubt it's legitimacy. We knmow plenty of people that say "NSX! That's slow! 400+ HP capable, you're lying!"
