Have you done the air-scoop-in-the-fender update?

How did it go? Were the fender-liner fasteners a problem? Was operating in the rain ever an issue?

Did the finished product sound: a) better, b) worse, c) about the same.

If you did it, all things being equal, would you do it again?

I did it, an would do it again, the sound is awsome. The install was a breeze for me. Jack up the car, remove the wheel, remove the liner and oem snorkle, attach the scoop, erinstall the liner, put the wheel back on, lower car and your done, I know it sounds easy, the only tricky bit, if there was one is reinstalling the liner.

You need to count on replacing most if not all the liner clips, there are cheap alternatives to the oem ones, and they work o.k. I don't drive it in the rain, unless I am caught out in it.

Re: Follow up to: Have you done the scoop-in-the-fender update?

Here's my follow up to this thread...

Installed the Dali FRP scoop, easy as pie, nice piece -- good fit, well made -- needed six new fender-liner-pushpins. Didn't use any fasteners, the fender liner will keep it from going anywhere.

I have Comptech headers but stock muffler... could not hear any difference at high rpm/speed, but at low rpm/speed it makes a nice growl (especially with driver's window down)... and there's a new "sigh" when you shut the engine off.

Cheers!

FYI... I've read what's been said from time-to-time here about Dali but I've been dealing with Mark for something like 17 years with NO issues.

Also, I believe the SOS piece IS the Downforce piece. The Dali part was half the price and beautifully made. I have a few Downforce bits too, their stuff is georgeous -- but the in-the-fender (sorry NSX UNITED) part is never seen -- so I pick and choose which vendor to use based on the quality, visability and use of the individual part.

For this particular part you'd be saving $100 if you chose Dali with no down side.

My $0.02

I'm no fanboy for Dali...Mark Johnson can certainly take care of himself. I've had no issues dealing with Mark and have gotten great prices and service from him.

Maybe potential buyers should read this first (for the lazy, then skip to the section stating [Real Bottom Line]). If you can't handle it then simply don't buy from him.

Sorry for the OT. Happy Motoring!
