Has anyone switched over to 100% Methanol Injection? Dyno time this weekend...

When getting up to the horsepower #s you are looking for the rear bank tends to go lean due to the fuel rail design. There is actually another thread up discussing it now. My AEM meth kit was a pretty early one and they replaced it....but I didn't want to risk my motor....haha.....got me real far anyway. I am in no way trying to derail your immediate power goals, I just air to the side of caution when you are setting yourself up for a $10k motor build(done properly) if there is even a slight hiccup. My advise was to enjoy it at a moderate level for a little bit before pushing the envelope. Plus......there will be no traction for you at those levels anyway.

From what Cody says, the stock rails are good up to 550 WHP. I don't see this being a issue since I'm only shooting for 475-490

NSX's shouldn't be tuned much above 550whp unless the entire fuel system is replaced.

Also, I'm only on 580 CC injectors so those are only going to take me so far.

We ran into some problems with the AEM not logging correctly. It will stop showing data past 6,000 rpm's. Also, we had some heat soak issues so we were making pulls in the 160's. Dave is going to contact AEM to figure out what's going on. Anyhow, I'm boosting 10.5 psi and it feels rowdy. Dave left it real conservative until we can get the logging figured out.

On my way home, I punched it in 2nd gear and it just blew them away.

You need a giant fan on the motor if you are going to combat heat soak.
10.5psi, probably a solid 460rwhp. Nice! Looking forward to your final results.
Good luck.

Yeah, we added a fan later but it kinda blew across the engine instead of down on it.

EAC,

Any updates?

Not much, just driving it. Put on about 250 miles, it runs it's ass off. I need tires bad. Blowing tires away at 60 mph is fun, but my butt can only pucker so much.

I know a few LSx FI guys that run the winter formula of RainX.

Price is at Walmart for $2.76~/gallon
