Harness Bar install

Hey guys I need some help. I am installing TitaniumDave's Harness bar today and I am stuck. The directions say I need to remove the rear glass hatch lever to get the driver side panel off. It says take a long needle nose and remove the retaining clip? Is that that the plastic piece behind the lever? If so, how do I pop it? Just do not want to break anything.

Hey Ray

The rear glass lever does not "pop off", its a little tricker than that.

It is connected to the hatch release cable at the back.

You will need to pop off the white plastic cable retainer behind the lever before you can take off the hatch* lever.

Wish i had a picture from my customer installs :frown:

its a little tricky first time around. take your time, the factory manual does not say much abou it

I found my helms manual. Their is a clip you push off with the needle nose. The lever popped right off and roght back on.

I had Dave ship my harness bar directly to Driving Ambitions for install. Glad I did because as it turns out it wasn't a quick job (about 8 hrs?). Nevertheless, it's a very well made/designed bar that looks clean when finally installed. When it comes to safety, I just don't trust myself to install anything:smile:
