Seems as though my balancer/pulley has walked off from the shop that is doing repairs on my car.
Gonna try and make them buy it but if I can't....
Anybody have an extra that can help a brother out with?

Huh? They lose the part and you are questioning if they will replace it???

Don't be afraid of ruffling any feathers, 92NSX. Demand that they buy you a brand new one from Acura!!

I wouldn't trust any shop that would dispute this demand, either.

>warning: this is just a guess and I have no affiliation with Basch, Dali Racing, BoostZilla, etc. etc. blah blah blah cough cough<

They may be right.

From the BoostZilla website:
"As all superchargers are belt driven, the BSS is driven by a simple but well wrapped belt drive system using Honda/Acura factory idler pulleys and OEM 5 rib A/C, alternator and main crank pulleys in the lower boost kits. The higher boost kits use 8 rib pulleys manufactured by us. Because some of the other kits on the market use non OEM main crank pulleys and because of the concerns some have raised over that decision; (We feel that Acura put the harmonic balancer design Main Crank pulley on the NSX for a good reason) we have retained the OEM crank pulley in ALL kits. We send out the OEM crank pulleys for machining and turn them into 8 rib pulleys so that we can retain that balancing effect design in the higher boost kits."

Then you read...

And then...
The Dali Racing "BBSC Main Crank Pulley Fix"

From the sounds of it... maybe the BoostZilla is the only supercharger system that retains the factory harmoninc balancer?

So it seems like yours was removed since you had the BBSC system.

Yes, I was aware that is was removed upon BBSC installation. However in the little box that had a couple of OEM parts that were taken off the car at the same time was the balancer. I had it in my hands for sure. I left it in the box upon delivery of the car to the repair shop and now it has vanished!

I actually sent it to Rob, but he can forward it on to you

That would be awesome, I will find out tomorrow if I need to pursue this avenue or not. Hopefully not, but.....
