Ahm you want the RIGHT size, OK!

Oyagi, I think Joe doesn't undestand its a SHIRT for a PERSON, it won't fit your car, no matter how hard you try!

Wow, this thread went OT suddenly...

GO SENS GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey, can anyone suggest a decent place for me to stay on Thurs night? I would prefer one where my car will be safe. My sister actually lives in Whitby but I will probably be rolling in kinda late and don't want to disturb them.

Thx!

Depending upon where in Ottawa you live John, it may not be too far a drive to make Friday AM.

From the South West End, I bet you're looking at 2hr 45 min to 3 hrs.

Otherwise, there are some Holiday Inns and stuff around. Myself, Id drive in the AM, but it is probably wise to get a better nights rest.

Really?

I live in Stittsville, on the far west end of town. I usually take Hwy 7 west and turn south in Peterboro or in Tweed if I want the more twisty route. I should Google map this and figure out whereabouts I'm heading. I have never been to Mosport and assumed its always outside of Whitby.

If it starts at 7:30am I should leave at 5am?!

Forget about driving early in the morning - you'll ruin your day.
The closest place I have found to the track (7 minutes away) is called the Brookside Cottage Bed & Breakfast. 905-263-4285 ask for Corinne.
$75 you get your own cabin by a river, includes a healthy breakfast and it's very close to the track.

From Stittsville youre looking at 2.5hrs I bet at a reasonable clip.

For me, being away from home for a night is a major ordeal, so Id make the drive in the AM, but if it doesnt matter to you, then hell ya, go stay at Daria's bath house the night before. Dont say I didnt warn you :D

Ech, I'm gonna crash at the Whitby Holiday Inn Select and call it a day. :)

Will someone be able to bring my club shirt to the event or will I have to drive all the way into town to pick it up at Mikey's?

Mikey may be coming - talk to him, if not, have him get me the shirt and I'll take it out to you!

Dave, I thought your wife would KILL to have a day without you - is the problem she can't leave you babysittign while she goes on her regular, six nights a week, girls night out?

OK, I got booked in at the Travelodge in Oshawa. Its right by the 401 so I can get there and leave easily and they promised me a room on the ground floor with a sliding door facing a reserved spot so I can keep an eye on the car when I'm in the room (yes, I'm that paranoid!).

Ugh, forgot I have a meeting on Thurs nigth so I'll probably won't roll into town until 10pm.

What time is the meeting on Thursday night again?

Stu,

I can't remember when we meet at the Yacht club again. Is it this Thursday?

Bad on me...

There is a good chance that I will not make it on Friday. Its hitting the fan at work and there's a good chance I will have to be there on Friday.

If anyone here wants my spot, let me know before tomorrow am. Im making the decision tomorrow AM and if no one here wants it, Ill give it back to the Hansons for the wait list.

Wanna meet at the Yacht Club tonight?

No prob, or we can meet at my place, (Sean, you can crash here if you like), I'm down at the Island Yacht Club rigging my boat tomorrow from 5ish on, if anyone's gonna be in town we can work something out - my cell is: 416 258-8527, call me somtime today if you're "in" and I'll make something happen!

I could go for a bite at the club! I wouldn't be able to get there until around 8pm. Does that work for you?

What an awesome day!

Great to be there with Sean, Oyagi and TheDevil. Great to see the NSXs going round the track, hearing the scream of Oyagi's Group M SC, seeing Sean blasting around at very high speeds.

A safe, fun track, and a well run day with excellent instruction.

I hope you guys had as good a time I did (although I confess to watching you and smoking cigars most of the day, I did have a run with my NSX, and it was sweet.)

I had a great time to! It was good to meet a new NSXer all the way from Ottawa! John the Dentist sure put some teeth on his car with that Groupe M!

Thanks again for the quarters Stu.

Hey did you guys get rained on after I left? It was raining around the track on the way home.

No rain! It ended as nice as it started!

Hey guys, had a great time! Sorry for the late reply but I just got back from the annual Beavers Camporee with my 6 year old (imagine camping with 904 screaming 5-9 year olds all dressed alike and you have a vague idea of my weekend! ).

I thoroughly enjoyed the Hanson school and highly recommend it to anyone with no track experience but would like to learn in a safe environment. It was only my second time EVER on a race track (first time being on Calabogie last fall) and it was an eye-opening experience. You learn what the NSX is capable of...and it was nothing short of incredible! I have a newfound appreciation for this chariot. Skidpad...holy shit.

Awesome to meet Stu, Sean and Peter. I am alway appreciative of how the internet can bring people together and I hope we can have many future opportunities to build ties. I cannot wait for the spring fling!

Here are all the pics I took that were decent. Unfortunately all the pics I took of Sean and Stu's immaculate NSXs did not turn out well (they were all of you guys in motion):
I love this RS4! Nothing like a guy who buys a car and USES it to its potential!

Unfortunately the tires did not agree:

Some of the beginners lined up:

Peter's (SzeChi) very nicely modded 92. The brakes cost more than a few Civics of the same vintage. Dig the GT-One CF mirrors and ARC Ti exhaust!:

I am goin to contact the photographer for a CD of his pics and post them up soon!
