Many of you guys read about what happened to me in August getting pulled over and stuff... check this out:

I think all I need is that unit and a CCD camera with composite out, and I can fabricate a full-time recording system. I know it sounds paranoid, but the more I think about it, the more it kinda makes sense. I believe it has the ability to recycle-record whenever it has power to it... I should be able to wire it so that whenever the motor is on, or whenever I flick the switch on, it will record! I'm not that serious about setting something up, but I was bored and did some research on the net. Pretty cool stuff is being sold on that site! It kinda lets you know what kind of equipment is installed in some of the police cars out there.

Kenji,

I have been putting together a helmet cam for my bike and it could be easily redesigned to work in the NSX.

What I did was order a microcamera from www.microcameras.com. I got the color one, but in your application I would get the B/W one with a lower lux rating for nighttime.

Then I ordered a Canon ZR20 camcorder because this model is the cheapest digital I could find with a video input. I mounted the camera to the helmet and ran a line to the camcorder which is placed in my backpack and I'm able to tape my whole ride.

Now for the car you can choose to go with a larger VCR running off the car battery. Since you are interested in audio, you need to buy either a microcamera with a mic or run a separate mic wire from the trunk (assuming that's where the VCR would be) to the cockpit. My microcamera runs 4 hours on a 9V battery. For me size and weight was a concern, but for you you can choose a variety of other larger microcameras from many websites. Then get something like this from Ebay, http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1283731962 to use to record.

Much better, Mr. Data. Make it so.
