Guitar Hero for the Wii

Look at this kid rock it out!

Amazing

Good lord!!!!

I can play on expert on most songs and can only get like 76% on the song that kid just did.

I got to play rock band a few days ago at my friends and I thought it was amazing. The drums were a blast to play and the singing was fun, although I'm no American Idol  . I don't like the feel of the guitar, it feels to gimmicky and the strum bar is a bit odd. I can't feel whether if I strummed or not so I just used the Guitar Hero guitar. I'd love to buy the game but being a college student automatically makes me poor lol.

Dang - that kid rocks!

My 9 year old is still finishing up Medium. I guess I better home school him and make him quit piano and viola lessons to get him going! :)

I beat medium but hard is well - hard. I actually have to practice the songs now to get through them (usually only 3 stars).

I did figure out some stuff watching that kid that I didn't realize (you don't have to strum every note for example).

We got the kids 5 games for Christmas and Guitar Hero hasn't been out of the Wii in weeks. Truly awesome.

Funny thing is I took an advil and was able to keep playing. I have a 99% note hit on Even Flow, Pearl Jam. It is my left hand the finger tip of the middle finger. I took the guitar out to the garage today and shaved off some of the plastic that was sticking up with a grinder. I think when I was mashing the keys I was hitting the little peice of plastic sticking up between the buttons.

Now I want to learn how to play guitar for real.

I played this game for the first time on New Year's Eve and loved it. I've done pretty well considering I have only played it twice, but was able to beat one of the songs on the hard level, and can beat nearly all of them on medium. (however I do play guitar)

FYI, the only advantage of someone who actually plays the guitar is some increased dexterity in your fingers and possibly increased rhythm/timing for strumming at the right time. (I guess these are big advantages though) Other than that, they are nothing alike. If you think your fngers hurt now, try pushing and I mean pushing much harder on a metal wire vs. a flat plastic key. You really use the pads of your fingers for guitar hero, but with the real thing you are all on the finger tips.

Here is a question for you guys. Has anyone gotten 100% note hit on the Wii version? I have been unable to get a 100% note hit. I was able to get 100% note hit on the PS but not the Wii. I'm not sure if it is possible on the Wii. whispers...I think it's rigged, just like wii bowling.

I don't know - I feel a cold coming on suddenly. I may have to stay home *cough* and find out! :)

BTW - isn't IM great? You don't have to call in and fake cough and try to sound dying anymore! ;)

LOL....first time I played Wii Tennis, me and some friends hit it hard and my shoulder was hurting for two days afterwards.
