GT4 at Nurburgring

So this thing will work then with a memory card from a digital camera?

That's what I'm saying...through a card reader, I've been able to use CF cards and MemorySticks that I would normally use with my digital cameras for photos (it sticks files under the folder "GT4"). I'm sure there are ones out there that aren't compatible with it (as far as I can tell, card reader support has not been advertised as a feature), but both of my readers just happened to work. Supposedly, many USB memory devices and USB hard drives work too.

They also support some printers, but it's much easier to bring them to my computer and print from there.

How does it save the picture, is it just like a game save where it looks for a card/device and then you can just choose to save to that?

5 days!!

Oh and another thing, does the PS2 ever see a device such as the mini usb drive or a memory stick device in the browser menu along with the memory cards and disk or does it only work when you go to save the pictures?
Because if it does see it there, you could probably backup saves to it as well, that would be pretty cool.

There's an option for where to store Photo Mode photos, either to memory card slots 1 or 2 (uses higher compression so you can fit more on a card), or to a USB device (people have been using USB mini drives, card readers with various media types, USB hard drives, etc). There's also a printing option for compatible printers.

No...doing so would have seriously diminished Sony's ability to sell PS2 Memory Cards. I've been wanting that feature for years!

What's funny is that there's this really cool Photo Slide Show mode that, as far as I can tell, only works with photos stored on the memory cards, not on USB devices. Additionally, I haven't found any way to store replays on USB...I would save more replays if this were the case.

As far as I know, this is the first time a game developer has used the USB port to support USB devices other than game controllers. They must have written drivers specifically for GT4.

Can you save replays to the PS2's HDD?
If not, you can always just save a few to the cards, then transfer to the saves folder on the HDD and then delete them from the card. It would be a pain but its better than nothing.

I don't think the PS2 has much of a hard drive (if that's what you meant)...nothing compared to the xBox anyways.

Yea, you can buy a Hard Disk Drive(HDD) extra and connect it via the network adapter, I think they're like 40 gigs or something.

Nurburging has to be the longest track in GT4 with varying road conditions. One lap is already long and trecherous enough for me even with some of the best car and could just burn your tires off in one lap! And I got the Cizeta which you could either turbocharge or supercharge.

I doubt GT4 supports the HDD. Not many games did, so Sony even dropped the HDD slot from the slimmer redesign of the PS2.

Ok um.... I just saved a ton of pictures to my USB hard drive and I turned it off, plugged it into my computer, opened the drive, and I can't find them anywhere...

It took about a minute to save each picture and I set it to Super Fine, I made sure it saved to USB storage device each time and it should have worked.

Any help???
