GT4 at Nurburgring

wow...looks like my driving skills in real life.....

Good god that is soo realistic.

I can't wait for GT4 and Forza to come out. Based on what I have read, GT4 is more realistic but Forza has Ferrari's and Porsche's and has better graphics.

Impressive!

mmmmm Feb 22 cant come soon enough....vroom vroom

I'm dying to do that straight!!! AAAHHHHHH just under two weeks... :frown:

Photo mode....

Any news on what types of printers will work with it?

Ummm.....NO! I repeat: Hell no!
I got a rare chance to play the Japanese version of GT4 on PS2 a couple of weekends ago and IT DOES NOT LOOK ANYTHING REALISTIC LIKE THAT. It's still very cartoony. Matter of fact, it doesn't look any different from GT3, at least none that I can tell anyway. But then again, I'm not a hard core video game fanatic like some in here. Trust me, that link looks like someone filmed their actual track time in Nurburgring and superimposed the PS2 speedometers on their to make it look like it's the actual video game.

Sorry to burst your bubbles. BTW, don't expect too much from GT4. No Porsche. No Ferrari. No Lamborghinis to drive. :(

did you drive the nur? I played it a couple weeks ago, and it looks just like in that video. Maybe you seen it on a crappy TV. The game supports 16x9 and 480P.

sorry for being ignorant, but what is 1080i?
That's the resolution for High Definition.

Actually, I think GT4 is the best looking racing game I've ever played (the posted clip is actually a bit blown out, but the game does let you adjust the brightness, contrast, and saturation differently for replays versus in-car). I've been playing the Japanese release for a month now and I feel the Nurburgring track looks amazing. The game still has a touch of the PS2 aliasing problems (even noticeable in the 1080i mode), but it's really hard to complain about the visuals.

I can personally verify that the clip posted is from the last S-Class license test. At those speeds, it's really easy to make a mistake...the Sauber Mercedes C9 tops out around 380 km/h (236mph) and, on that narrow of a track, it feels scary fast. With the Driving Force Pro, you feel every little bump in the road...I was sweating bullets just to hold the car steady on the long straight. This test was the first time I had to learn the full 13 mile course, so it took me a few hours to barely earn the bronze.

God that games gonna kill what little social life I have left.

Only a little over a week left and still so long!!!

I'm dying to play Nürburgring and test some cars on it, and that photo mode is looking better and better... I wonder if they'll let you uplink via USB to a PSP for a pic transfer via the PSP's memory stick??

I have two USB card readers (MediaGear 7-in-1 USB2.0 and a Dazzle 6-in-1 USB1.1), and BOTH are compatible with GT4's Photo Mode. I've used my 1GB IBM Microdrive CF and a variety of Sony MemorySticks with these readers to transfer photos to my PC. It's a very cool feature.
