Am I the only one who is amazed this car lapped the ring in 7:38????

Do you know how fast that is??

Bravo Nissan...I hope this pays off for you.

And am I the only one, who thinks its insane not to have a manual trans, I was all ready to play:mad:

I'm with you on this one Mike, I'll never buy automatic unless I really have to. I won't consider purchasing this car unless they decide to come out with a conventional manual gear box.

+1 flippy things don't do it for me, without the "left" pedal I don't care if it's a "F" car, a "P" car or anything in between, I want to "row" through the gears the old fashioned way, with a 3rd pedal!!!

I don't know. Shifting in .2 secs sounds pretty good. I don't know why people aren't more welcoming of this new technology.

I want a closer look at the computer system in the center console. Looks crazy!

I used to be the same way, but then I've driven several cars with paddle shifters. I'm completely sold on this way of shifting now. I'm betting that within even 10 years it will be extremely rare to see a true manual tranny with a clutch pedal.

I can see some knockoff bodykits coming out soon to make your Z look like this car...

This beast is amazing... I'd preffer a 6 or 7 speed tranny but i'd take this car anyway I could get it...

The GTR isn't a manual gearbox with paddle shifters. It is an automatic transmission that has a manual mode to hold the gears in place kinda like tiptronic although for a 70 grand car I should hope you won't get the lag like other pointless tiptronics.

The GTR transmission is nothing like a discrete automatic transmission (Triptronic/Steptronic/Sportshift/whatever). It is a dual clutch transmission that can switch gears as fast as you can blink your eye.

Am I the only one who thinks this car is friggen ugly? I always liked the look of the 1999 R34 GTR the best, this one is just eh...

70g's is that the price ???

$65k to $75k. There are 3 trim levels.

It's a sick car for the price. Did you catch the torque it's putting out? Honestly, I was going to start my FI project this spring, but now I may hold off to see if they come out with a 6spd manual.

Because of the back seats, I could honestly sell two of my cars for one...they said it would make a decent daily driver. I just feel too attached to my NSX to get rid of it right now...but June 2008 is a ways off (when the 1st ones come here) and a manual may never come...so who knows.

(and honestly, the more I look at it, the more I like it...maybe paddle shifting isn't that bad? lol)

Just the saw video! wow its fast!
doesnt sound special from the interior. so its a paddle shift ?
doesnt look like the driver does much other than steer.

performance is very impressive.
appearance is NOT sinking in at all.....
i'd have to see it in person.
