GT-ONE headlight kit

John, would it not save on shipping costs to gather a group of us who are interested? I would start a thread in Market-Vendors and see how many we can scrounge up. Myself included. I love this setup as it is truely an updated look (as opposed to the horrid appearance of the '02 setup).

What type of cost are we looking at? What is the conversion from yen to $ here? Thanks.

I like the look of these lights a lot.

But, dumb question perhaps, would these lights not have their reflectors set up for a right-hand drive?? Making them not really compatible for those of use (most of us) who are driving a left-hand drive because they drive on the right side of the road ?

Good to hear from you. In order to provide the lowest possible cost per unit, absolutely adding more units would save everyone money both on the product and to a somewhat lesser extent the freight depending on logistics. If I were to poke a guess probably three at the minimum would be ideal and we could pass some additional savings from the vendor on down.

Due to the presumed dimensions of the packages and type of product I would recommend the SWR Ocean Saver import service unless there is a rush. The product would be attained in a reasonable time period for a Japanese item such as this and we could offer the lowest price that way just putting them on our next order that ships out.<O:tongue:</O:tongue:

Again, I just do not have all of the pricing details yet from Mike in front of me, but once I know what we can do I will be sure to chime in on this thread and let everyone know what we here at SWR can offer on this item. I myself mentioned to Michael my interest in being one of the first to try a set of these out as I have the 02's as well, but to my knowledge a set never made it out on our recent order. Pictures are cool- but hey it would be nice to actually see a set before bringing several over. I've had limited information accessible to me over the <ST1:tongue:holidays.

To answer your question thou most conversion rates you'll find published online are technically accurate but factored on exchanges of one million dollars and thus aren't relevant as obviously any vendor practically incurs fees when transferring funds to vendors abroad. As an FYI the market last closed at 102.719 yen to the dollar.

If SWR or a group-buy decides to purchase these after verifying they'e "ok." I'd like to be on the buyers list please.

Neat lights....still prefer my pop-ups though. ;)

According to the advertisement it ranges from $1,380 to $1,560. Not cheap, but comparing this to a headlight conversion for the '02 it actually doesn't seem that bad. I guess.

That’s only two buckets, OEM bucket cost around the same if not a bit higher. Plus you need to add the cost of H4 HID kit from Bellof into the final cost.
