GT ONE 5.1 + AIS + Test Pipes (HD Video)

and that sound....no comparison! Hella mean!:cool::biggrin:
 
I have never liked the raspy sound of those types of exhausts. Sorry, I love everything else about the car - but I think it sounds horrendous when you let off the throttle.

Car looks amazing! I used to want a GT One, but after seeing all the vids... I sort of agree with Hijacker on this one--the rasp kills it! It sounds EPIC coming towards you, but sort of loses its magic when it goes by and you go off-throttle.

Fantastic looking car though! I always said if I ever buy an 02+, it's going to be Imola. :D
 
awesome quality videos, but since you showed the speedo and tach, i thought you were gonna do a in car dash video. i wanted to see how quick a na2 with those mods accelerate.

They are custom, purchased from another prime member. This is my third exhaust setup this year. I went from Comptech (too quiet), Taitec GTLW (too much drone in cabin), to the 5.1. It's not for everyone, but I love it. The Test pipes really opened them up. No drone at all in cabin and still quiet under 3.5k.

Thanks synth. I love my 5.1 as well, am looking into test pipes for that extra punch. Does it smell pretty bad with the test pipes? Let me know when you are tired of it :)

FYI there would be no raspiness with high flow cats like the prospeed ones :)...
 
FWIW Prospeeds may tame the rasp but but it'll still be almost as loud.:wink: I only got the PS's to calm the smell and I don't like waxing the bumper every week. I'd honestly say there close to the weight of test pipes.

Not even close from my experience. I had the 5.1 with prospeeds high flow cats and it wasn't much louder than the stock cats. I had the high flows on for about 2 weeks and was really expecting a lot more from them. Switched to tp's and.......:eek:

Yep. This is also what I found. I prefer LOUD and high flow cats just don't cut it. I guess it's all personal preference. I thought the Taitec for example was super annoying at cruising speeds in the cabin. Others think it's not a big deal.
