Group buy/install Clear Bra (Bay Area)

I haven't heard anything about the group buy whether it is still on or not but if you want it done, I will check for the pricing and let you know.

Sidney,
Yes, please let me know what you find out about pricing. Thanks. See you Saturday.

Just in case anyone is interested, the guys I got my clear bra installed are highly recommended by the Porsche and Ferrari guys. Their name is Premier Mobile and they are based out of Nor Cal. I found them on Ferrarichat, and they've done my 360, NSX, and GT3. They are also one of the most reputable companies around. Their work is impeccable and the custom kits they use gives the best coverage around. And the best part is that they make the clear bra mostly seamless. Here are some pics.

Can someone who already has an account on that forum post the pictures here as you need to register just to view the attached pics from that forum.

The company that I use is Premier Mobile Aesthetics Group and they recently did a clear bra install on Nalesh's car and he is very happy with their workmanship and got a great price for it as well. I will have to talk to Sam and see what kind of a deal he can give but it all depends upon how many NSX's want them as well as which areas of the car they want protected.
Since Nalesh got his car repainted, he opted to do a custom full wrap front bumper, an extended coverage for the hood and fenders, headlights and mirrors. Sam said that if they were to do the same install, the price will be $900 but I am sure I can get him to get that down a little. If someone just wants to do the hood, fender, headlights and mirror, I am sure the price will be quite a bit cheaper as all the difficulty is in the front bumper.
If you want, please list exactly what year NSX you have and the color of the car as well as what coverage you want and I will try to organize a group buy for you guys. The job can be done at my shop in Fremont but if you don't want to drive to me, I can probably arrange for Sam and his guys to go mobile to you but there might be a slight increase in price for time and travel expenses. :frown:

Sidney did me a HUGE favor and told me about Sam (Sammy) and Premier Mobile. I was looking at other clear bra (paint protection film - PPF) installers at first, but after talking with Sam and seeing all of the testimonials on Ferrarichat.com, rennlist, M3 forums, etc, I chose Premier Mobile. I had a pretty extensive job done on my NSX - the front bumper is completely wrapped (upper and lower), hood is 2/3 covered, front fenders are 1/2 covered, headlight covers done, mirrors covered and side intake vents covered. I would post pictures of the PPF on my car, but it doesn't show up in pictures (its that clear already after only four days).

The work that was done on my car is 100% top notch. The fact that it is done as a custom job makes it possible for Premier Mobile to essentially cover the car per your specs (barring the limits of the film). The other benefit of custom cut film is that the installers can wrap the film around edges (like the hood seams, fenders, etc) so there are almost no hard edges of film showing. The only place you see a "line" on my installation is across the hood and the fender where it cuts across. Most people at the Marin meet couldn't see the film as they walked up to the car.

If you are thinking of getting a PPF for your NSX, go with Premier Mobile. If you have to spend a few bucks extra over other quotes you got, spend the money - its your NSX. Treat it right.

Besides the excellent workmanship, you will get superior service and support. Premier Mobile is responsive, they answer all of your questions and they are a good group of guys to do business with.

Fremont is fine for me. (i want to keep the cost as low as possible)

I guess i'll start the list.

1. AMGNSX: (Ariel)
Year: 2004
Color: Rio Yellow Pearl
Coverage: Head lamps, Front upper and lower bumper

The choices will be the following:

1) Standard hood coverage and fenders w/ headlights and mirrors.

2) Extended hood coverage and fenders w/ headlights and mirrors.

3) Standard bumper coverage.

4) Custom Full Wrap bumper coverage.

This way I can tell Sam how many cars want what coverage so he can figure out the best price for the jobs to be done at my shop in Fremont. If anyone needs to see Sam's workmanship, I am sure Nalesh will be more than happy to show you if you go over to his house. Always good to see before buying.

It might be a good idea to buy some touchup paint and use a very fine paint brush and touch up some of those small paint chips before the clear bra goes on.

ok i'm interested if the price will be right

i want pkg #:
4) Custom Full Wrap bumper coverage.
(can they also add just the headlamps for 02+ cars)

if not i guess i want pkg#
1) Standard hood coverage and fenders w/ headlights and mirrors.
4) Custom Full Wrap bumper coverage.

This is a timely thread for me. I got so many paint chips on "SIDSNSX" it was very discouraging for sure. Now that I have a replacement car I was going to contact Nalesh to see what he was going to do for PPF and here is the answer to that question. Great...

If there is going to be a group buy to have Premier Mobile do installations I would be interested if they would be agreeable to adding a non NSX to the group.

1. 2004 Z06 Corvette
2. Millenium Yellow
3. Full wrap front bumper or maybe standard front bunper
4. Hood up to the top of the headlight covers
5. headlight covers
6. mirrors

Hi Sid,
I am sure Sam would be more than happy to extend the group purchase to owners of NSX's for other vehicles. The Corvette is not an easy car to do so I will try to find out what is the best price he can do it for. You can get a rough idea of how much the kits costs and which pieces you want at www.xpel.com and shop for your year, make and model to see the different kits for your car.

Sidney, thanks I appreciate that. Yes I would be interested in a quote that covers the hood above the headlights and the fenders to the side of the lights, wheel arches and a full bumper; I'm just not sure whether the full wrap bumper or the precut pieces would be better for me.

BTW, SIDSNSX ( half space between S and N ) should be available from the DMV again if you are interested. My registration ran out on that plate about three weeks ago.

Since there are only 2 people that are interested in a possible clear bra install, I think it would be best to just contact Sam directly at Premier Mobile Aesthetics Group. You can reach him through e-mail at [email protected] or you can call him at (510)390-6920 and just tell them you are from the NSX group for pricing.

I just got a clear bra put on by Sam @ Premier Mobile Aesthetics Group.

The service was superb and the workmanship is flawless.

Very highly recommended if you are in the market for a clear bra.

I had the bumper, headlamp covers, headlamps, mirrors, entire hood and fenders done.

I would recommend the entire hood be done because how low the NSX is and how sloping the nose is.

The fenders can be done the usual way (1/3 or 1/2 covered) because you really don't pick up that many chips behind the top of the wheel well. But at that point, I just said, why the hell not... just go for the ultra clean look.

I've seen "stock" installations and you can hardly tell where the line was on the hood and fenders: you had to be told first and then you could see it from certain angles. With the hood and fenders entirely covered, it is nearly impossible to see.

As far as cost is concerned, I would recommend contacting Sam for a quotation on the exact kit you want.

Wow George. Sounds like you basically got the entire front end covered. That seems like a pretty extreme project for Sam and his crew. But then again, they have been known for covering entire cars.

Call it a moment of lunacy... I figured at that point, if I am getting the entire hood covered, why not just do the entire kit and kaboodle?

Sam did mention entire cars being covered...which, even for me, sounds extreme.

The only option I would think of is perhaps the roof of the car, but I will wait to see what it picks up with a few more miles of driving to determine if it is worth it or not.

They did a great job and hopefully it helps when the car is out on the 880 sand blaster.

Sam and Premier Mobile did a great job on my NSX. They are going to do my S2000 next.

I had my ENTIRE NSX covered - 100% ....ok, not really, but I had the entire front bumper wrapped, 2/3 of the hood, 1/2 of the front fenders, flip ups, side mirrors and intake vents covered. Their film and installation techniques create a nearly invisible covering, and I considered doing 100% of the hood and fenders but I decided that with my weekend driving, I didn't really need it (I never drive the 880 or the 580 rock chip routes with my NSX).

Sam did tell me that they have done a couple of Enzos and one owner had the entire Enzo covered - I mean they removed body parts and wrapped around them.

Does anyone know of a supplier or installer in Australia? I know this thread is in the Northwest US Region... But I just have had no luck so far and sometimes if you ask the question...

I wanted to follow up on this topic. Another fantastic experience with Sam @ Premier Mobile.

The protective film on the drivers side mirror started to peel up around the edges and I brought the car down to Fremont to see if it was a warantee issue/schedule an appointment to get it redone.

Wilson was able to take the car in and massage the film back into place and it looks perfect now.

This was the first time I went to the new shop and it's top rate. Great installation bay area that should produce top quality work.

Again, I cannot recommend Sam @ Premier Mobile enough.
