yea this totally blows, ive put down my money on a preorder like 6 months ago!! they shouldnt say anything till it goes gold, its not like setting a date and breaking it over and over again is gonna win them any fans.

from a business standpoint it also looks pretty silly, announce a blockbuster game - put screenshots, info, etc - then delay delay delay while the competition makes clones

I'm not much of a fan of Underground...and the playable demo of NFSU2 on Burnout 3 was horrible.

Wow, i'm astonished. When SCEA actually said "December" for some reason i believed them. The little voice in the back of my head tried to defy me, but i held strong. i KNEW this game would make its release date.

I disagree.
I think this is a big hit to Sony, and they certainly aren't happy about it. They wanted this game to be a Christmas blockbuster, but they missed it. If anything, they'll get people taking back their preorders to play Forza for awhile.

Well, Forza got delayed past GT4's expected release date, so there still is no real competition for GT4 when it does finally come out. The Japanese version appears to be coming out officially on 12/28...the TV commercials are now on the official Japanese site stating such. Hopefully, I'll get a copy of this version so I can start getting familiar with all of the new tracks.

Funny thing is I've only driven Laguna Seca in video games, but I've only driven Infineon Raceway during a HPDE. GT4 will be my first virtual experience on Infineon...I'm curious to see how my real-world experience translates into GT4.
