Thank God it was one of my trucks and not the nsx or other,BUT what would you use to remove black spray paint from a service truck(van) that is partially accross the vinyl lettering??
TIA

A clay bar will usually do it. If that doesn't work you may have to go to some kind of paint thinner - but find out if it will damage the vinyl letters!

In order of harshness:

3M or NAPA auto solvent
WD40 or GooBGone
BBQ lighter fluid
Acetone (will remove paint)

One of the first 3 should remove whatever the clay leaves behind. Let us know. g

I will let you know.I'm running some errends <unfortunatly in the that van> And I'll stop by Nappa ,it looks like something out of Manhatten or Brooklyn/Bronx better yet. LIke the opening scene for "Welcom Back Kotter" you know the train riddled w/ graffitti(CS) as it passes thru Brooklyn... :)

1)I have use Professional 409.
2)3m hand glaze.
3)Car Wax.
4) Clay
5)Light rubbing compound.
6)Dupont "First Clean" (sparingly on a cloth)

It is usually gone before I get to #6.
The most important deal is gentle persistant rubbing.

......theres this stuff I purchased @ home depot called "grafitti remover" in a spray can.
....Spray it on and wipe it off after a few seconds it works awesome and didnt damage the paint at all
Glad it was that easy!!

I'm glad it worked out for you. And the can of Home Depot spray didn't hurt the finish?

Did you notice that you asked for opinions and then used none of them? Yours was probably (prolly) the correct solution!

Yes,
I did notice the I didnt follow anyones suggestions. The reason being the paint specialty store I went to was emphatic about the results of this particular product. And it does work that well.
I would only leave it on for enough time to loosen the grafitti then wipe it right off.

The main ingredient in that remover is probably Lacquer Thinner/Enamel Reducer.

Glad you removed it all easily. I can't understand Graffiti and the morons who spray it.
